Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 3
lol all three are great shows.
-TD consists of 8 episodes as it only has one season(anthology)
-BB is a completed show and has 5 seasons consisting 22 episodes each
-GoT has 4 seasons but 12 episodes each season.
You should watch all 3 but if you want to watch in order then TD could be finished the fastest so watch that first. Then Game Of Thrones and then BB since that will take you a lot of time.
Btw How did you find Luther?

I saw both Luther and Arrow on Netflix. Luther is probably one of my favorites of all time.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 3
Sounds like a good plan. I'm at university and there's not a whole lot to do or watch currently so I'm looking for some fillers until the fall when TWD, Arrow, Elementary, and Person of Interest start

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 3
I usually download *borrow* it from the websites. Prefer watching shows I really like in 720p at least
Don't like streaming unless it's a show not on my priority list.

As much as I WANT to like The Strain given that it's a Del Toro creation, I can't see myself giving it any attention after this season if it continues.

Netflix has it too. Definitely one of the better shows out in recent years. I would also recommend Sherlock. Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 3
DC Comics are said to be actively pitching Supergirl as a TV series. Producer Michael Green is said to be attached both in that role and as a writer, and his credits include Gotham, Heroes, Smallville and the Green Lantern movie. Interestingly, he also worked on the Supergirl comic book during the early days of "The New 52" reboot. We'll have to wait and see for now, but The CW would certainly make a good home for the character if it means she meets up with The Arrow and The Flash!

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 3
nah too vague. Too many spoilers around as they are all going to run around the same time. Thought of doing that but it seems like a bad idea.
Anyways I need 6 people who are going to watch both shows before making a thread.

Pretty sure there was 6 who said they were going to watch it. And we're already so many that are watching Arrow. So I don't doubt we'll be over 6.RealGunner wrote:nah too vague. Anybody see the pilot of 'Hand of God' Thought it was amazing.
Only the pilot has been release by Amazon to let the viewers decide if they should purchase the whole series.

Anyone seen The Leftovers?
Intriguing plot and heard it's quite intelligent because it doesn't give you the answers but makes you think yourself

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 3
It's awful.
There are no likeable characters. Actually, by the end of the season I hated everyone and wished they'd all disappear. It was a really interesting premise but the execution was very poor. I only stuck with it because it was on HBO. Maybe it'll get better next season?

The Leftovers.....such a crazy show....I really don't understand what they were trying to do with it. So incoherent.
Like I said before...best thing about that show is the theme music in the opening credits.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 3
So I watched The good wife's 3 episodes. To see why the hype is about the show and why the main actress is getting emmys every year
The show is decent. It's very much like Suits or white collar or any other law based show. Not much difference. However she does lose cases though and isn't super human like harvey n Mike.
The reason why this show gets awards is basically because it promotes feminism. That's what I have noticed. I am not having a dig but just putting it out. The main character is showed as the ultimate women who handles her house, and work, and everything else with incredible will power and she is very strong. It's a female lead show where all 3 main protagonists are female. Which is kinda nice tbh since it's different.
her(Julianna Margulies) acting isn't exceptional. It's good. If she was in any other show, she wouldn't get a single emmy IMO. Maybe it gets better later on. But atm I haven't seen anything I wouldn't see from Cersei of GoT or Claire from House of Cards.
7.5/10 for the show atm
