What a fantastic show. I can't believe this HBO gem passed me by for such a long time before I heard of it.

My twin brother watches Six Feet Under. He likes it a lot. I've never gotten around to it, but I've liked what I've seen of the show.

TNT Eyes ‘Titans’ Superhero Series
TNT is getting into the superhero game, as the cable channel and Warner Bros. are nearing a deal on a pilot production order for “Titans,” a one-hour live-action drama based on younger characters in the WB-owned DC Comics universe.
Focusing on known names (at least to comicbook fans), the show would center on Dick Grayson, the former Robin who emerges from Batman’s shadow to become Nightwing and the leader of a fearless band of heroes who include Starfire and Raven. Scribes Akiva Goldsman (“Batman Forever”) and Marc Haimes (“The Last Word”) will serve as exec producer and co-exec producer, respectively, with Warner Horizon Television producing.
Shows based on comicbook characters are en vogue right now, given the popularity of AMC’s “The Walking Dead,” ABC’s “Agents of SHIELD” and the CW’s “Arrow.” Three other shows based on DC characters are launching this fall: “The Flash” on the CW, “Constantine” on NBC and “Gotham” on Fox. This deal is somewhat apropos, though, as DC Comics has a character named TNT. Known for his — ahem — explosive personality traits and radioactive powers, the character was popular after World War II.
Goldsman is repped by WME and Hansen Jacobson. Haimes is repped by WME and Management 360.
The animated series “Teen Titans,” which also focused on these characters, previously aired on Cartoon Network and the WB. “Teen Titans Go!” began airing in 2013 on Cartoon Network

I've just finished the first season of Black Mirror and I'm really liking it so far. After the first few minutes of the first episode I thought RG was trolling for sure when he recommended but it turned out pretty interesting.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 3
Lol I told you. That was one of the most unique episode I've ever seen.
Did you get the message though? They were trying to underline the power of social media and technology. How a whole country was useless against that event.
The Second episode Imagine that life if you have to live that way. It also provoked fun on the reality shows in satirical fashion.
The third episode really got me though. That was an immense episode.

I agree. I like how different it is from the vast majority of tv shows out there. They're really well done parables. I've already downloaded the second season and will start watching it soon.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 3
First episode of Black Mirror was better than the second imo. Only seen the two so far. But damn that first episode was some of the most disturbing stuff I'd ever seen ffs. Seriously more horrific and cringing than any horror out there.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 3
Supergirl has finally found a home as the latest TV show from DC Comics, and it's been given a series commitment at CBS, the network behind the likes of Elementary, The Big Bang Theory and Under the Dome. The hour-long drama will focus on Kara Zor-El following her escape from planet Krypton amid its destruction. The official logline for the drama adds that she has been "hiding the powers she shares with her famous cousin" (that's Superman obviously) and that now at the age of 24, "she decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be." The pilot was penned by Ali Alder (No Ordinary Family) and Greg Berlanti (Arrow), and they will both executive produce alongside Sarah Schechter and Warner Bros. TV. TV Line meanwhile confirm that it will indeed be named Supergirl.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 3
Finished the first season of it now, it's as good as RG suggested. It can be odd watching something without a coherent theme linking each episode however each self contained episode is well constructed and intriguing. You're left feeling hollow and uncertain after each one which is the mark of a great show.

That's exactly how I felt as well. It makes you actually think about life because the themes are aimed at you to contemplate.
Wait till you watch one of the episodes ("White bear") in season 2.
