Re: Rafael Benitez Sack Watch - Madrid Edition
The thing with Cristiano's free kicks is tgat if they hit the target, it's 80% a goal. Too bad he hits the target twice a season

He' lost 0-4 against Barca at Bernabeu ( and he deserved to lose even with a worst result ) lol .
In my honest opinion, it wasn't Rafa that lost that match against Barca, it was the anti-Rafa faction of Real Madrid getting the better of him forcing tactics.
If he was allowed to do as he likes, no way he would have lined up like this.
No one forced him to put any players on the pitch. He went with that line up because of fear of losing that match with out certain players, media might highlight it as the reason for the lose . So he clearly dont trust his own tactics. Who the hell plays 934234 injury returnees who have barely played together the entire season?

Freekicks are one of the toughest skills to attain.
You have players who shoot it with high power but lacks accuracy. They sucks. eg:Cristiano
You also have players who just chips it over the wall, always on target but lacks any power and GK will do a routine save. They suck as well.waste of freekick. Eg: Xavi
The ideal freekick taker should have right blend of power and accuracy. eg: Juninho
Beckham was a rare breed, he wasnt relying on power but accuracy and super extreme swerve.

Re: Rafael Benitez Sack Watch - Madrid Edition
its funny but there are still people in madrid offices (no, not talking about perez and his 'rafa is the solution' rhetoric) and media members who think rafa is the ideal man for this job, they practically swear by him, i just don't get it, i never got the decision to hire him in the first place, like didn't the man just flop with napoli?

It's basically official. Marca have already reported, as have a number of other press outlets:

5 points of Barcelona, CL R16 as group winners, sacked in January. When do Madrid ever learn?

Re: Rafael Benitez Sack Watch - Madrid Edition
While I'm no fan of Benitez it must suck to be sacked from your childhood club after 6 months. They didn't even give him a chance.
I can't imagine any scenario in which Zidane does better
