Re: Rafael Benitez Sack Watch - Madrid Edition
He was given a fair chance!!! I started off this season saying Carlo had to go because of his lack of trophies and his stubbornness to overplay his starting 11/12 and not using his bench, for two consecutive years and that Benitez should be given a chance to prove himself. Well, he had the chance, initially overcoming Carlo's issues, but in the end his tactics and man management were simply awful. He has a club that can beat the weak teams, lose all the big games, and struggles against mid table teams. Sevilla, Valencia, Villareal, Eibar, Celta are not world beaters. What else could club do?
But I agree Zidane will not resolve the problems. If you look at how his B team was performing, the tactics are awful plus he can't seem to handle the one prima donna (Odeguard) he has there.

He was given 4 months How is that getting a fair chance? He still had a shot at the CL and the title

You gotta hand it to Real Madrid, they are ruthless.
Woodward should learn a thing or two from this.

Re: Rafael Benitez Sack Watch - Madrid Edition
I refute all those ridiculous statements up there. My club is proud, beautiful, rich and extremely successful all things considered. Few things not going our way recently will not change that. We strive for success harder than most club out there. We sack managers when they fail to deliver what we hired them for.

If Atleti with less then half the talent and budget then RM were able to win the league title and be the first team in the last 7 years or so to KO Barca before the S-F. Don't get me wrong we are enjoying a very success decade, however this is no excuse for Madrid here, they've bought in proven winners from managers to players and have one of the most expensive squad yet have only under performed. I still think CR is bigger problem due it the game revolving around him too much for other talent to go to waste, but the managers themselves at times haven't helped themselves and when going to RM you know what your getting yourself into.

this post is beyond stupid, mou had 3 seasons and carlo 2 seasons, this has nothing to do with barca being good, stop with idiotic posts, especially after wanting to sack klopp after 2 months at pool, look in the mirror next time.

I never understood why they got him in the first place but it's better to fix that mistake fast instead of waiting for something to happen that we all know won't happen anyway.
Good riddance.
