Rafael Benitez Sack Watch - Madrid Edition
napoli was supposed to fight for the title this year and go far in the CL .
instead they got eliminated in the preliminary round by a garbage bilbao .
their record after 5 games in the league is 2W 2L 1D.
and now they're losing at home to torino
----------
EDIT: Now featuring Madrid

Re: Rafael Benitez Sack Watch - Madrid Edition
The future of Coach Rafa Benitez at Napoli seems doomed, according to reports in Italy.
The Spanish tactician was hoping to recover some trust from the club and some confidence in the team with a result at San Siro last Sunday.
Instead, his Azzurri were beaten 2-0 at the hands of Milan, who also overtook them in the standings.
Reports suggest that the relationship between the club and the Coach is at an all-time low, with the Gazzetta dello Sport claiming “the probabilities that Benitez will stay [at Napoli] are close to zero”.
The publication also suggests that the uncertainties surrounding the future of Benitez may have reduced the morale of his team, who have therefore become reluctant to follow his lead.

Re: Rafael Benitez Sack Watch - Madrid Edition
Sinisa must be our manager a day ffs
I think De Laurentiis dreams Montella. He is not just a good manager but also a Neapolitan manager .... but it is not easy to take away anyone to Della Valle..
It would be interesting to watch Spalletti with this roster, it is good for his football ideas

Re: Rafael Benitez Sack Watch - Madrid Edition
I think Higuain and Callejon will go away too ... if Benitez goes away. Higuain was convinced to accept Napoli also for Benitez, Callejon wanted to go in Atletico already this summer , Benitez was decisive to avoid this
Basically I can't wait to watch Napoli again in Serie B

Rafael Benítez Sack Watch
Rafa is going to be a sacrificial lamb at Real Madrid.
Zidane needs time to gather experience for RM job.
So Perez needs a new less expensive toy so that he can hire and fire easily.
Please Perez hire Rafa and don't make it a self troll post.

Re: Rafael Benitez Sack Watch - Madrid Edition
Can't see him failing. Someone who wins 2 league titles with Valencia and a CL with Vladimir Smicer, Djimi Traoré, Harry Kewel and John Arne Riise in the starting lineup will achieve the treble once handed the Real Madrid squad. GL "experts" never learn. If it was up to people here, Madrid would have been relegated already after sacking Mourinho and selling Özil, Di Maria etc. But uncle Flo is once again ahead of the times.

Re: Rafael Benitez Sack Watch - Madrid Edition
damn, the man hasn't even signed a madrid contract and there's already a sack watch...the least we can do is give him time to sort out things in the squad as well as new players that could come in. but it isn't far fetched to think perez wants rafa as a stop-gap, sometimes our club is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get

Well it's not entirely unfair to assume it'll happen.titosantill wrote:damn, the man hasn't even signed a madrid contract and there's already a sack watch...the least we can do is give him time to sort out things in the squad as well as new players that could come in. but it isn't far fetched to think perez wants rafa as a stop-gap, sometimes our club is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get
Madrid simply don't display any type of loyalty in their managers, no matter what they win for the club. It's only a matter of time for Rafa. That's reality tbf.

Re: Rafael Benitez Sack Watch - Madrid Edition
I don't bother wheather Benitez wins a CL with RM or gets sacked while breaking Camacho's record. All I'm waiting for the time when he demands Mikel in a swap deal for Modric.

Re: Rafael Benitez Sack Watch - Madrid Edition
He will be sacked soon enough, when these (and alike) start happening:
- CRonaldo complaining for having to play according to a rigid system, instead of having the freedom he would like to
- Playing with 3 deffensive midfielders after a 1-0 is scored
- Says something to the press that Florentino doesn't like
- Loses a game, which will make the deffensively system-based football madrid will play unjustifiable for the people, especially if against Barça or Atlético
And I honestly hope it does happen, I didn't like it all when Barça had to play Benítez's Valencia and I expect it will be tougher against this Madrid squad if they play along his system.
