Are the current Chelsea team the strongest Title Contenders ever in PL history?

Their squad contains about 4-7 World Class players. They are stacked in every position. They have one of the best managers in the world.

I can't remember a team with so many quality players since early Arsenal.

They are going to walk the league unless they have a lot of injuries through out.

Thoughts?

This Chelsea side >> Invincibles, Liverpool Kenny's '88, or any great Ferguson side.

That can only be a firm 'yes'.

Hazard is about as good as CR was when United won the CL.

Cesc is the best AM the PL has seen in 15 years

Oscar is hard work and talent combined

Schurrle has the best off the ball movements for a wide player in EPL

Costa is better than Drogba was when he went to England.

Terry is one of the EPL greatest ever CB

Cahill is the best modern English CB

Azpi proved he was the best fullback in EPL last year,

Courtois is top 2 GK in the world

Their bench is stacked

Yes, they are the best challengers of all time possibly

Man City have just has many world class players and even more depth.

kidding aside, they are very, very strong.

City are stronger, still imo.

Arsenal are not far off too.

I love Schurrle off the ball, cant say that enough, he is pure danger for whoever he plays against. He is going to bench William very badly this season

Not sure tbh, City are at the same level tbh.

If Aguero stays fit and Yaya wants it they will win the league.

Yep his off the ball movement is excellent, Cesc is going to have a field day with all those diagonals.

Our equivalent to Matic and Costa is Arteta and Giroud. That's the key difference between our squads.

They're squad is very strong and they're rightful favourites for the league title, and I think this was the case before the season started.

I still think city is stronger overrall and has a great manager in pelle, the best thing chelsea has going is that mou knows how to win tbh

They definitely have one of the best squads in history, however Man City have a good squad too and they can challenge Chelsea.

When I saw their starting line-up before the match including their bench I was like
They have a very good team, but they still need to do it on the pitch week in week out, and I have my doubts about that.

I don't know that there are that many WC players...  Terry and Cesc.  That's about it.  Hazard and Courtois have WC potential and the rest are good players.

There's no way this team compares to one that had Henry, Bergkamp, Pires, Vieira and a young Ashley Cole on it.  These guys were all considered the best at their respective positions or close to it.  This Chelsea doesn't have that kind of quality....  deeper team though no doubt.

Van der Sar, Vidic, Ferdinand, Evra, Scholes, Rooney, Tevez and Ronaldo was also better top talent than this one by quite a bit too...

The depth of this Chelsea team is the most impressive part...

You'd be stupid not to bet your house/family/life on them getting at least 200 points this season.

lol is that a joke ? Chelsea fc have a great squad but nothing exceptional.

All I'm saying is, had Burnley were in PL last season and got 93 points (like they did in the Championship) they would've won the league.

And Chelsea dispatched them with the greatest ease I ever saw.

No side starting with Oscar is the strongest title contender ever.

Lucky for them Ramires suspension is over now so he should bench him this weekend.

Cesc put in one of the greatest midfield performances I have seen from a Chelsea player in a long time though for about 30 minutes in the first half. Night and day from the crap Oscar and Mata would produce.

people are oveerating this chelsea side. pretty strong nonetheless but nothing out this world.
