There is a lot of variations ffs, we're going to play what 65 games or something? plenty of playing time, James played what, 32 games last season? He'll get that easily. A single injury to Ronaldo or Bale and who's going to be an asset? Khedira? Jesé coming off an ACL?
Ronaldo is coming off a knee injury that could alter his career, and James is a top talent that can carry the load, if something more serious would happen to Ronaldo's knee.

Hopefully not. 4-3-3 worked fine last season. Di Maria is better than Rodriguez.

They bought Kroos to play the CM role; I imagine will play next to Modric if Khedira leaves. Somehow I just don't see how that can work through a defensive point of view.

I just don't see how that's gonna work. defensively. Before it worked because of Di Maria running around protecting Ronaldo like his life depended on it, and then would have the energy all game to then sprint and help set up attack. Surprised Xabi is gonna stick around and isn't going to Sociedad or Bilbao at this stage in his career.

Rodriguez isn't a goalscorer though and he isn't being bought for depth or tactical reasons. He's being bought simply due to hype.

If we wanted a versatile goalscorer who would rotate, we could have gone for Griezmann, Vela, Reus, Cerci etc.

Don't see anything wrong with the midfield Freeza posted, they've played their best games last season with a similar setup with but Di Maria in midfield, and not too long ago people were calling Di Maria a headless chicken.

Also LOL at every one thinking Ronaldo is some sort of team player that will accept rotating and being subbed out all the time for these new batch of super starts you guys bought. Especially when he's in his prime years of his career. He's gonna start telling reporters he's sad after every single match, and throwing massive hissy fits when he isn't getting the ball passed to him or the game isn't molding around him anymore.

Just like Özil, Khedira was bought because of WC hype. Isco was bought because of hype also. I don't see the difference.

Modric, Di Maria and Alonso worked because it was a 3 man midfield. Any formation with Rodriguez would have to include a DM, since he's an AM.

All these line ups are pointless, when talking about "rotation".

You can rotate as much as you like, in the end someone will not play as much as they like and more importantly, someone will miss out the most important games.

Its a cycle too.

Player doesnt pick up form because rotation gives him no consistency.

Player struggles.

Fans say, he is playing crap, dont deserve to play more.

Player gets unhappy and leaves. Fans say "should of played better".

Buy another guy. Repeat cycle.

Weren't Madrid fans on here telling us the same time last year, how they turned a new page and are going to be building there team around a young Spanish core?

They are all going to leave by the end of next season.

Ozil and Khedira were kinda needed at the time. Rodriguez is someone we definitely don't need with Di Maria already here.
