Re: Official: James Rodriguez to Real Madrid
Madrid fans chill, this is all a ploy to get Di Maria to sign a new contract. There's no way in hell Perez is going to sell one of the teams most pivotal players and buy someone they don't need.
Perez isn't that stupid guys, trust me.

Re: Official: James Rodriguez to Real Madrid
we know what it is, it's all pride from the club etc... but he has gone so far that di maria has a deal with psg and we have a deal with james. went pretty far...
but we keep hearing more and more about Carlo not wanting di maria to leave to hopefully it reaches the point where we renew him.

As long as nothings been signed it will be easy to get out of any deals. Perez just has to swallow his pride and give Di Maria what he wants, especially since he deserves the wage increase.
I don't think Perez will go against Carlo's wishes, especially after he won La Decima.

Re: Official: James Rodriguez to Real Madrid
that's what we all hope. making wholesale changes to a CL winning team is dumb. we have developed real team spirit with those guys, they overcame a lot of adversity together and di maria was right in the middle of it.
so yeah, i still hope carlo can reason with florez. i mean, he made piece with Hierro, no one expected that.

Re: Official: James Rodriguez to Real Madrid
The issue is not Carlo holding it up, etc. From a lot of reports, the deals are done... PSG need to open up room to complete the transaction and that will require that they unload a couple of players. If you see PSG unload some guys next week, you know the reports are accurate.

Di Maria wants €9m a year, however Real Madrid don't want to pay him that after just one good season, according to Marca.

In terms of understanding Football, and what is happening on the pitch, Perez is far more stupid than you think.
My hope is Carlo to insist on keeping Di Maria.

It's net... that's the issue. Di Maria wants 8-9 mil net. That's more than any AM or winger in the world lol. A bit much imo.

Deal agreed with clubs in case the transfer go through, with player as well, doesnt mean it's done. let's see how things move, medias always quick to present things as finished.

Re: Official: James Rodriguez to Real Madrid
plenty of teams... he's the last elite CF available out there. Just off the top of my head, Liverpool and Arsenal are going to jump in. After that, I wouldn't be shocked if City decided to get Cavani to play with Aguero and dump the rest of their CFs.

pool aint gonna do that, they are not going to pay 60 millions and then 300k for cavani. he is not worth it. and arsenal and their stingy wage structure

Re: Official: James Rodriguez to Real Madrid
Pool wanted to pay 50 mil pounds for Benz and pay him 7 mil net punds but Benz didn't want to... same with Arsenal. I don't see any reason why they wouldn't do it for Cavani.

Re: Official: James Rodriguez to Real Madrid
it's pretty standard for top CFs in EPL. Look it up. And that's in pounds while Cavani makes it in Euros.. in pounds, that's a little less than 240k. For example, Rooney gets 300+k pound per week, RVP makes 250k/per week, Aguero makes 200k, Suarez made 200k, etc.Hapless_Hans wrote:300k a week

Re: Official: James Rodriguez to Real Madrid
Kun makes 200k a week? In Pounds Sterling? I really hope City has some clause in which he has to at least pay for his own medical bills, anything really...

No one is giving Cavani 300k p/w. His bloated transfer fee and absurd wages render him pretty much untradeable.

Re: Official: James Rodriguez to Real Madrid
no sports, it's not in the ball park, there is a big difference. And Cavani cant even kiss RVP's boots.
It's a massive massive contract, and imo, Cavani isnt worth that. he is a very very good striker with excellent work rate, but he is not Kun, he is not Suarez, he is not RVP.

Re: Official: James Rodriguez to Real Madrid
I still don't understand the logic behind this signing to be honest. There's no need for a goalscoring attacking midfielder at all.
James would be stupid to join Madrid. Needs to join a club where the team would be built around him, he has that at Monaco at the moment.

Re: Official: James Rodriguez to Real Madrid
the logic is that if Di Maria decides to leave RM, we will have to replace him, and it looks like James will be signed. why is it so hard to understand. it's not like we are going out of our way to sign him and to get rid of Di Maria. what we are not doing is trying hard enough to keep Di Maria.Gil wrote:I still don't understand the logic behind this signing to be honest. Re: Official: James Rodriguez to Real Madrid
Why are you pretending James and Di Maria would be a like for like swap or you didn't just sign Kroos?
You know damn well Ronaldo and Bale play best in either a 442 or 433. It's nigh on impossible to fit James in either formation without completely unbalancing the team.
Just pay ADM the wages and stop trying to justify Florentino eagerness for a new toy in response to the Suarez signing.
I repeat, James would be foolish to make this move. Just stay at Monaco and wait until CR declines or becomes legitimate #9.

Re: Official: James Rodriguez to Real Madrid
im not justifying anything, i am telling you the situation how it is. it's a contract feud, and it's gone so far that we have told di maria before the summer to bring 60 mil and he can go.
Everything else you say is perfectly correct, it's a foolish move, for us anyway, i dont care about James. Di maria can perfectly play in midfield and in attack, it's incredibly valuable. Not sure how those moppets havent renewed his contract yet. What's worst is that James would be paid the wages that Di Maria is asking, that's what's killing me.

It's right in the ballpark.
So what you're telling me is, Aguero and Suarez got 200k, that's why 300k for Cavani is 'pretty standard'? That's 50% more than the leagues best players ffs
edit: are we talking pounds or Euros? Always thought the 'per week use' implies pounds? So he gets 240k that's different, while still much too much.

Re: Official: James Rodriguez to Real Madrid
Cavani is not 300k pounds ffs. Read Those EPL wages are in pounds sterling while the French ones are in Euros. 300k euros is about 240k pounds sterling.... which is in the same range as all the elite CFs in EPL.
