Will USA progress due to the HtoH record with Ghana?

So basically a win from either of the Ghana vs Portugal game does not gurantee knockout ticket unless the win is it in large margin AND the other does not end in draw!!!!
EPIC final match day!!!

The player in the US midfield with the deadlocks is Kyle Beckerman, not Jermaine Jones.

What are the chances that Germany and USA will play out a deliberate draw, thus securing that both of them will go through? :coffee:

I find it even more shocking that there even are thinkable results where two of the teams might have to draw lots (e.g. Portugal 2:0 Ghana and Germany 3:0 USA) Shocked

Any previous examples of drawing lots in WC history??

There is a Wikipedia entry in German that lists where lots were drawn: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liste_der_Losentscheide_im_Fu%C3%9Fball

(Google translate or so should help)

now a situation has risen unfortunately. Low and Klinsmann might join forces and play out an 'entertaining' draw. World Cup: Group G discussion - Page 26 2276801876
bloody bs
odds are in favour for that to happen, and we cant actually blame them if they decide to do it. Ghana will have themselves to blame for getting into this precarious situation. They should have at least got a point vs the US

On the other hand, both Germany and the USA want to win the group to get a more favourable route in direction final, and for that the USA have to win for sure. Moreover, the current German team just can't play for a draw - our defense is just too dubious.

Lol at people criticising Ronaldo, if it wasn't for him Sweden would be in the WC right now. I wish he had the tendinitis in November Sad

From Real Madrid's perspective Ronaldo not playing will be good for us because he will get the rest he has so far refused to take for various reasons

beckerman is the player with the real "bad ass" dreadlocks while Jones' dreadlocks just look like.. well - uhm... dreadlocks.

Don't like what Klinsmann said about Germany in his post-match interview last night, playing the "they are favorites so they get the preferential treatment" card. Last thing we need is him already making excuses for us before a ball is even kicked.

I think we'll do just fine against Germany though. Last time we played them in a WC, we stepped up when it mattered and that game was much more important than this one, that Germany team was stronger than this one and that US team was much more raw than this one. Germany have clear weaknesses just like Ghana and Portugal. We just have to be savvy enough to exploit them without exploiting our own.

Easier said than done, I suppose, but not impossible. Just need to keep our heads. We've done a fairly good job of that, just switching off at the worst times.

Exactly. And what's more, neither of them has 'deadlocks' :coffee:

Can anyone explain why Gotze doesn't celebrate goals? It's even worse than Balotelli's normal routine.

my best guess is: His name.... pretty bad ass name...
he needs to stay "true" to that - It is not a choice but an obligation Wink

And just for the record - if there is no Umlaut on the keyboard it translates to GoEtze not Gotze.
