Re: Louis van Gaal
Speaking of strikers, why are you not going for Cavani? Or break the bank for an actual winger a la Reus and move Martial to the middle.

Re: Louis van Gaal
Reus is a crock. Also I don't think he wants to leave his hometown iirc. Cavani? You've got to be kidding me. The guy is a flop. He literally flops in every big game I've seen him in. flopped twice against Madrid missing 3 sitters, flopped against Chelsea 4 games in a row. The guy misses to many sitters and would compound our problem. Lewandowski would have been perfetc but he's already turned us down when SAF was here

Cavani would be a big upgrade to your attack.Dont know what you're on about.
There are not many good CF's available out there. He's the best available one.

He's not clinical at all
I've watched almost every PSG game since he joined. People still living off his Napoli hype.
Martial will be our CF, we just need a a winger that will be good 1 vs 1

I'm serious
They show it on BT sport here every weekend. I never watch the coupe de ligue games or the other cup games but I watch most of their league games.
I've been a long time PSG supporter since 2012 (:

What about Depay ?
though admittedly , haven't watched that much of your games this season , or PL in general.. i seem to remember a game where he was 1v1 with the defender , dribbled past him with a particularly quick paced move inside the area and then went on to score ; surely there has been more from where that came from , even without end product ?
Is he still injured btw

He needs to work on his physique. His dribbling at a stand still is non existent and he is too inconsistent with his decision making. Some of the stuff he does is borderline embarrassing

Memphis form went to shit with the injury of Shaw...they were magic on the left to begin the season but now with no true LB he has struggled to find space

One question, Jibers.
Do you actually enjoy watching this Utd team under LVG? Are you content with the job he has done/is doing?

I enjoy it sometimes. I can see what the team is trying to do. I am content. We are a top 4 side at best atm and we need time and players. As I said before I will give him till next season before I judge him. Progression isn't linear especially when there is a talent gap.

Are you enjoying this utter turgid half then? Which is the norm under this manager.

TBH RED I haven't enjoyed United playing football since 2009
Yea that half was dire. He is giving Soton 2 much respect with 3 at the back.

Re: Louis van Gaal
Woke up early today and first thing I did was check all news outlets to see if he's been sacked.
What is that incompetent fool Woodward waiting for ffs. Frigging joke.
Get LVG the fk out and maybe, just maybe, we'll have enough time to overtake Spurs and Salvage th season by getting top 4.

TBH who else can we get. Mou can gtfo. I would leave LVG till the end of the season and take the whole United board on a plane to Germany where they will get on their knees and beg Guardiola.

And i think that's what United are doing, that's got to be the only reason why LVG hasn't been sacked, you can't ask Giggs to take charge again

I'd honestly be content with Giggs taking over till the end of the season.
The season is a write off the longer LVG remains, might as well change now, give it to Giggs, let him earn his stripes and then make the big change in the summer.

Re: Louis van Gaal
Would be great if Pep stopped his sabbatical and started coaching again, especially United. His inevitable failure at a big Premier League club would finally end most of the myths and cult-like fanboyism surrounding him. Really can't wait to see United attempting to build even more patiently from the back. Blind, Darmian, Rojo, Slowsteiger etc. trying to hold down a highline around the middle circle. Fellaini playing centerback. Depay, Mata and Rooney playing in even more congested spaces due to the 20 touches that have to preceed every attack during which the opposition can comfortably reshape and get 11 men behind the ball. More 3 man defense experiments. Etc. Can't wait.

Re: Louis van Gaal
So apparently both Giggs as well as Mourinho it seems doesnt want the job at this juncture but are willing to take over in the summer.
That leaves us with whom exactly as far as choices are concerned if at all the stubborn one is sacked ?
G Nev is not having a good journey so far in La Liga and might well be sacked if things wont improve pretty soon. Should we take a punt on him until the summer. He might still turn out to be a very good coach as his problems right now could have more to do with language and other issues rather than his actual managerial ability. If he doesnt bring his incompetent senile little brother to the club along with him, i think it could be worth a shout.

Re: Louis van Gaal
The season is a write off. The players have checked out for the summer, the manager has checked out and is dreaming about his retirement, and as for Woodward, I doubt he even watches our matches, probably busy counting money in the office.
Waste of a season.
Could have been saved had he been sacked in December.
