so . now that kids went to sleep .

A simple and common amongst football players gesture of respect , doesn't have to come from someone's achievement status to make it be valid , that's not even a good arguement to begin with. A good gesture is what it is , i find it ridiculous as to how some took this as an offense at Zanetti , not to mention even himself looks surprised in a good way about it (in the pic) . Like i said earlier , it honours both.

Xavi even sent his own brother in person to hand him over his gift ; how more obvious this has to be for people to realise that Xavi only wanted to show his respect and that this was quite important to him ?

If this still doesn't make it clear , then no words will.

If I wanted to truly do just that I would send a private letter for only Zanetti to see,and describe in words how much I appreciate him.

Publicity stunt.

Who cares anyway...

But he did describe that in words , on the shirt . Right? And by sending his own brother to Milan , means only one thing , that he intended his gift to arrive to Zanetti in person . He took care of that , by sending his own brother.

That a picture was taken about it , doesn't exactly mean or prove that Xavi had planned for it to happen , so as to speak of publicity stunt. If anything , Inter on their own put that up , simply in honour of both of them.

I really , really don't get why you think like that , you or anyone who expressed such a notion . It is such a nice gesture.

but it's surely so
if this thing would have it done another player and not Xavi = indifference or appreciation for gesture Laughing

Men, keep in mind that roughly 90% of this forum has a deep dislike for Xavi, not in regards for Xavi the footballer, yet Xavi the person who's words are greatly distorted given that this forum loves to take Deutsch or Espanol out of context.

If it was Iniesta or Puyol, GL would be gushing praise over the gesture as I'm sure we've understood the dynamics here.

And the gesture itself? Fantastic. Xavi was in no obligation to send anything to a team of which he has repeatedly criticized with a captain who on whom he has little past with.

I agree, the beautiful art of sitting down and writing a letter is a lost and dying art yet one must understand that the Barcelona shirt with its Senyera significance is a Catalan emblem, to which we know much it means to Xavi. Out of all the Barcelona players he is Barca through and through the most as the symbol is much beyond just sending his stay-at-home brother with a piece of rendered cloth in his hand.

Inter-Lazio 3-1 HT.
It doesn't look like a battle Mazzarri-Reja , infact it is not a boring match.
The match is still so long anyway, as Inter learns this year. And Lazio is always a danger when it tries to attack

A summary of this match so far ?
Mateo Kovacic show.

Javier Zanetti is playing officially his last match at San Siro.
He is going to play the 2nd half. Event.

Even Keita is Spanish  Shocked
I was convinced he was African or French. I like much this player , he always impresses when he plays (just a 95) , infact I hoped he was not a stater today . I can image how much Lotito will ask for him

If Torino doesn't win tomorrow we have won  the 5th place Trophy :coffee: smoking
anyway I will support AC Milan for 6th (and not Torino or Parma ) Molenation yes I am serious, I prefer not have Milan with no cups next year who would mean to concentrate wholly on league

Stephan's not getting many touches but is intelligent with his passes so far.

Just roasted two players and skipped past their challenges like nothing.

No coincidence that we've played so much better since he came on, though Montolivo pushing up along with the fullbacks has helped.

Tempers flaring now in Bergamo.
