Yohan Modric wrote:The long rumored arrival of Prince Devitt in WWE may not be happening, and of all the gin joints in all the world, it may be TNA that will grab him.

It would be assumed that TNA is offering him more money and/or an immediate spot on the main roster, as previous rumors had WWE making Devitt work at least briefly in the NXT development program.

TNA please no  Devitt don't join that bankrupt organisation

For those who don't know, Devitt is what Daniel Bryan and CM Punk were before they signed for WWE, the hottest star and the best wrestler of the indies. We all saw the great success Punk and Bryan have had on WWE and how they became huge draws and Devit has as much potential as they had. He is a great wrestler and good on the mic too, and if he uses the gimmick he used on NJPW in WWE, he will get over in no time.

That entrance, jacket and face paint will make him stand out. Hope WWE does not change his name and gimmick.

Boogeyman, more like The Undertaker. His gimmick is similar to Undertaker's Ministry of Darkness one and he paints himself on something related to death or darkness. Undertaker did it for 20 years, he can do it too. People said that after Kane and Undertaker retires, there won't be any dark gimmicks anymore unless someone fills the void. Bray Wyatt and Devitt can easily fill the void.

He has another gimmick too. The Real Rock N Rolla which is similar to Jericho's.

He still used the facepaint sometimes with this gimmick. He is a huge Marvel fanboy so sometimes paints himself as Marvel characters.

Carnage

Venom.

He can't do that in WWE though.

If Kane and Undertaker weren't monsters in stature, the gimmick wouldn't work.

This guy will flop and I doubt he'll get over with a rehashed Jericho gimmick either. Looks like Boogeyman in warpaint and Cody Rhodes without it. He obviously isn't that hot a comoddity or WWE would have been in a rush to bring him in and not let TNA get on that. Not saying he will be a total flop, could be a low end mid carder.

That said I'll have to check some promos out, could be great on the mic, but it's hard to get foreigners with accents over tbh, he's Irish?

Yeah, he's Irish.

He is bad on the mic as a face. His best work came when he was a heel and became leader of Bullet Club, an American faction that took over NJPW.

WWE are high on him, they saw a match of him with Adrian Neville and wanted to sign them both immediately. Devitt still had contract and promised appearances for NJPW so they only got Neville. Now they are trying to get him again.

He has talent, it's not about the look any more. Daniel Bryan and CM Punk showed that.

Props to Zealous for posting this. Awesome match.

Just a moment Bryan shared with his idol. Cena did the same in 2006.

We may never know all the details surrounding the decision to end Undertaker's streak at WrestleMania 30 this past Sun., April 6, 2014, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, but the story of Brock Lesnar pinning him and who made the call is a fascinating one nonetheless.

I strongly recommend you subscribe to the Wrestling Observer and read the latest newsletter to read the full story from Dave Meltzer but there are a few particular points of interest:

The referee, Chad Patton, was apparently told Undertaker was winning the match and didn't know what to do during the final pinfall sequence, which is why there was a "slight hesitation". He went through with it because that's what refs are trained to do, go through with counting whether there is a kickout or not.

Vince McMahon was looking at this match through the lens of it being the last time Undertaker would work a match for WWE and he had a choice to make if the streak would end or remain forever. Brock Lesnar just so happened to be the opponent on this night for this decision and McMahon chose to stick to tradition.

Meltzer remarks that two people in the know report two conflicting stories. One is that McMahon had to talk Undertaker into losing and the other is that McMahon told Undertaker he was losing and "The Phenom" simply agreed to it without putting up a fight, despite the fact that it wasn't originally the plan.

Paul Heyman's promo on Raw the next night describing the backstage situation and Undertaker's injuries was 100-percent true other than the broken neck stuff.

Stone Cold Steve Austin recently stated that he asked Undertaker about coming on his podcast in roughly three weeks when he's in the same city and Undertaker said he "would love to do it". Here's to hoping that happens so we can get some more concrete answers from the man himself.

I can buy into all of this but the referee not being in on the finish is interesting because I've re-watched the match multiple times now, and replayed the finish time and time again, and there is absolutely zero hesitation from the referee on the final three count. He doesn't change his cadence in any way en route to slapping the mat three times before hopping up and declaring the match over.

Again, go subscribe to read the full story. It's worth it. In the meantime, what are your thoughts on all this?

Bumped into this gem on cracked.com a few days back. Figured I would share it with you guys.

Mark "The Undertaker" Calaway needs no introduction if you're a pro wrestling fan, or even vaguely familiar with the WWE. For those who don't know, Calaway has been playing various incarnations of his magical Undertaker wrestling persona for more than 20 years, including stints as an unstoppable zombie and a mystical priest. Part of his performance includes entering the arena to gongs, church bells, organs, and other "dark" sounds, building up an ominous tone that is the polar opposite of The Undertaker's 1993 rap/spoken word single "The Man in Black."

- There was a feeling backstage at WrestleMania XXX that Vince McMahon and others did not get the fan reaction they were looking for when The Undertaker lost to Brock Lesnar. The shock was there but they may have been looking for a more appropriate send-off for Taker.

Vince ends the streak, and expects something different to 'just' shock

Wat.

Only logical reaction to expect was shock.

Jim Ross on Sting in WWE:

"I assume that he hasn't signed with WWE only because WWE hasn't announced it. Signing Sting would create positive news for WWE as he is a major star that WWE can monetize in a variety of ways if he comes aboard. I don't see Sting even needing to wrestle to be a viable asset to WWE if he does sign with the company. If Sting did have one match it WWE it would need to be a long build, much anticipated one that has a significant payoff at a major event more specifically WM31."

The official website of the IZOD Center is advertising John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt in an "Extreme Match" for the Extreme Rules pay-per-view on Sunday, May 4th.

- WWE's website notes that Nikki Bella, Cameron, Naomi, Natalya, Eva Marie, John Cena, Tyson Kidd, Jimmy Uso and Cesaro were present for Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella's wedding at the L'Auberge de Sedona resort and spa in Sedona, Arizona on Friday. We also know that NXT trainer Sara Del Rey was in attendance. She has been rumored to be dating or engaged to Cesaro, for what it's worth. Cesaro has also been friends with Bryan for years.

I had the same reaction as most wrestling fans in the world. I was shocked, staring open mouthed at the screen expecting the match to restart.

Lesnar is so lucky lol, he was 100% booked vs The Rock but The Rock got injured and then later said that he can't make it because of Fast and Furious 7. If we got Brock vs Rock then who would have ended the streak then? Cena? Better option than Brock but dear God, the internet would have seen a holocaust.

Tonight, WWE will be broadcasting this week's edition of Raw from The BJCC in Birmingham, Alabama. No matches have been announced for the show, however it was announced on Smackdown this past Friday night that Raw will feature a tribute to The Ultimate Warrior.

WWE is also hyping the following story line points for tonight's show:

-How will Triple H punish Daniel Bryan and The Shield?

–Will Paige be ready to fight for her newly-won championship?

-Where does Rob Van Dam go from here?

-How will Cesaro benefit from working with Paul Heyman?

-Can John Cena somehow combat the eerie allure of The Wyatt Family?
