Re: El Clasico: Real Madrid vs Barcelona discussion
How can he accuse the referee if the only goal he scored was from a non-existent penalty
Re: El Clasico: Real Madrid vs Barcelona discussion
Pique: "Ronaldo crying again? A shame after such a great game. If we look at all actions individually. His penalty was outside the area..."

This was a below par performance from Nerman but you have haters saying hep is only contribution was the penalty he won which is not true. He was involved in the second goal and did threaten at certain periods. And he did all this at his unfavoured RW role.

I'm not looking for excuses, but this ref is not at the required level for a game like this.
If Barcelona lost today, they would have been out of the race. After five years here I finally understand how things work.
He better be upset and pissed.
He was average at best tonight. Hopefully he uses this as motivation.

He is more butthurt Messi score a hattrick but he couldn't. I always believed Ronaldo doesn't give shit about Madrid. He is like Mourinho its all about him.
I bet if Ronaldo Score 5 goals and Madrid lost the game, He would never Complain.

I totally agree with you there. Personal glory and adulation means everything to him and losing out on the Ballon d'Or for so many times to Messi hurts him more than not winning with Mehdrid.

If anyone deserves it Pepe does. Stomping on Messi's hand and not getting sent off and let's not forget about going psycho on that guy while he was on the ground and kicking him in the back like 10 times.
Cry me a river, Karma is Karma.
wtf are you going on about. He deserves getting stepped on his head?
That's a lifetime ban ffs.
Is this real? Did anyone see the scene? That looks disgusting.
No actually a lifetime ban should have been Pepe vs Getafe kicking a player on the ground in the back numerous times. And then going up to him acting like he cared if he was OK or not.
That should have been a lifetime ban not this picture probably taken out of context.
That's why I asked if this was for real. If it was, we would've heard more about it already, of course.
But whatever Pepe does or did, and he's a lunatic no doubt, doesn't justify people saying it would be alright if his head would get stepped on.
'Karma' lol, you're like Otto from A Fish Called Wanda. 'The Buddhist monks preparing for battle' etc

I'm still wondering why Ancelotti abandoned his philosophy yet again in a big match.

Ramos:
It's always the same. I didn't touch Neymar. But there's no point talking about it, it changes nothing.
Everyone can see what happened today. We could have got something from the game but got nothing".
There are some things you can't fight against. This was pre-meditated".
I stopped because I preferred 3-3 rather than penalty and a sending-off.
For the sake of football and Real Madrid, I hope Undiano (referee) will never be in charge of a RM game again.

Cut it out with that pic already, will ya. No sane person would step on somebody's face even if that's Pepe who probably deserves it. And it would certainly leave an unmistakeable mark had he done so. The angle is misleading.

Re: El Clasico: Real Madrid vs Barcelona discussion
What philosophy? He is one of the most dynamic coaches in the world when it comes to giving special tactics in individual matches.Yohan Modric wrote:I'm still wondering why Ancelotti abandoned his philosophy yet again in a big match.
Re: El Clasico: Real Madrid vs Barcelona discussion
Well he's said on numerous occasions and even prior to this match that he will play possession. He even said 'he wants to play his philosophy' prior to this match.
Next thing you know we have 33% possession at home and we're sitting back. It's happened against every side who play possession this season.

What do you mean by playing possession. You mean having more possession than your opponent? What is the point of that?

He can't understand that it's impossible to have more possession than Barca.

Rayo Vallecano had more possession than Barca. Plus 67% is way too much to concede at home. It's possible to get at least 45%.

Re: El Clasico: Real Madrid vs Barcelona discussion
How are you supposed to play possession vs Barca playing with four midfielders? If that's what you're complaining about I would call it "Madrid being outplayed" rather than "changing his approach".

He said:
In previous press conferences etc he said the philosophy is possession.
“Barcelona has a clear philosophy of how they want to play and that won’t change. But we will also seek to impose our philosophy.

You're not counting the areas where Rayo received possession nor the key moments in which possession was necessary for Rayo as looking purely at the number is not wise to judge the match.
Real Madrid aren't brimming with possession-based players as many of them would not respond half as well to what they do with Carlo's currently more dynamic system.

Ronaldo in his profound dumbness will be suspended for his comments against the ref. You would think that players learn but no

Yeh but it's not just against Barca we sat back. It's against every team who plays possession.
