This was a below par performance from Nerman but you have haters saying hep is only contribution was the penalty he won which is not true. He was involved in the second goal and did threaten at certain periods. And he did all this at his unfavoured RW role.

I totally agree with you there. Personal glory and adulation means everything to him and losing out on the Ballon d'Or for so many times to Messi hurts him more than not winning with Mehdrid.

What philosophy? He is one of the most dynamic coaches in the world when it comes to giving special tactics in individual matches.

Well he's said on numerous occasions and even prior to this match that he will play possession. He even said 'he wants to play his philosophy' prior to this match.

Next thing you know we have 33% possession at home and we're sitting back. It's happened against every side who play possession this season.

You're not counting the areas where Rayo received possession nor the key moments in which possession was necessary for Rayo as looking purely at the number is not wise to judge the match.

Real Madrid aren't brimming with possession-based players as many of them would not respond half as well to what they do with Carlo's currently more dynamic system.
