One of our most important players Nicklas Bäckström was suspended from the game 20 minutes before kick off for allegedly taking a "banned" substance which is an Allergy medicine he has taken for 7 years without problem. Add to the fact he did a drug test after the Slovenia game and only just now he was suspended

this was soviet Red Army team domination by Canada this tournament, played the most dominating team game probably ever seen in hockey, puck possession was so impressive.

whole country was up for the 7am EST start time, myself i was up at 6am and at my friends house to watch the game by 630.

Toronto city council passed law to serve alcohol at 7am for the game, people were lined up around the corners to get tables in bars for 7am, one of the biggest sports bars in Toronto, Real Sports Bar has 1000 capacity, there was 3000 people in line to get in for the 7am puck drop.

in Vancouver people were up at 4am to watch in Bars and in there homes.

Hockey is truly an obsession here, it's our Game. We are Hockey. We are Winter

I'm pretty sure men's slopestyle was fixed, as well. There's no logical explanation for why Sage (U.S.) finished above Norway and Canada, when his performance was clearly inferior... not only was his performance less impressive, but he messed up more, as well. How the hell did he win it? It's a damn scandal...

as a canadian im very happy about this. for me the olympics mean 1 thing and 1 thing only. Hockey. thats it. and to win it in 2002 against the US in the US was amazing, now we won Gold in another Rival nation. Truly amazing.
