We're being linked to some players so I thought it would be a good idea to have a pre-made thread for the January window.

Very happy to hear this as I like him a lot, he was one of my own personal targets that I wanted us to sign. Should help the midfield add some mobility, technique, agility, even strength. Can't really see us going all out on Matic, he'd cost like £30 million.
Matuidi, Reges, M'Vila, Gonalons are some cheaper alternatives.
Also seen a couple of links to Pastore, although I can't really see it happening.
Will Hughes being mention too. Probably going to have a few clubs in for him but he supports Liverpool so we should be his first choice.

What about a RB?
Its was the weakest position IMO without Gleninho playing.
Henderson and Sterling were stop gaps who were targeted in every match.
Kelly and Wisdom dont seem fit ever

Lots of people on Twitter saying we're looking at bringing in a CM/DM. Good to see he's identified the weakness, coul have had it sorted in the summer though, a number of good DMs moved for under 15 million.
Back up to Johnson would be good, especially if we carry on with a 3412.
Also think we could do with a back up striker, Aspas doesn't give me much confidence at all.

If we don't play Kelly or Wisdom as back-up RBs they're never going to have the chance to build themselves a career here. Just saying.

Kelly and Wisdom are naturally CBs though. No problem with them playing RB every so often, but as I said, if we stay with the 3412 we need a natural wing back. Can't be having Wisdom playing almost as a winger.

Yeah well, either a RB in a 4-X-X or a CB in a 3-X-X. It will be a real shame if neither of them go on to have a career with us. But, I mean, Arsenal play Jenkinson from time to time, surely we should be able to do the same with Wisdom or Kelly.

Thing with Kelly and Wisdom is that they would never fit that RWB role. So their best chance of making it here is RCB. Which really is for the taking for one of them as Kolo isn't that young. So in the next couple of years they can make it their own.

I don't think Aspas has played as a striker in any competitive game for Liverpool as of yet. Harsh to write him off. He's been poor, but he's being played out of position.El Jefe wrote:

I doubt we will sign an out n out DM...instead BR willl like to sign a good CM who can do most of the things on the pitch, a much more improved version of (Hendo + Lucas)
