Boateng just renewed till 2018, Dante just renewed till 2017. Pep sees Martinez as a CB as well.
Van Buyten is old and needs replacing, Badstuber will come back but who knows if to full strength.
So yeah, we will get a CB at some point, but Boateng sure won't leave.

Re: 2014 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. I
Manuel Garcia Quilon, the agent of Real Madrid goalkeeper, Diego Lopez, doesn’t believe the recent criticism has gotten to his client and is certain that the Galician shot-stopper will be at the Santiago Bernabeu next season, despite the rumours linking him to Italy and England.
In a recent interview with with Spanish sports daily, AS, Quilon denied rumours of a possible summer departure and stressed that his client is “strong and focused.”
“He has a strong personality, he’s calm and very focused on his work.
“I haven’t received any calls from either Milan or Napoli. As things stand today, I think Diego Lopez will stay at Real Madrid next season.”
Despite keeping clean sheet after clean sheet in the middle of the season, Lopez came under fire and was the subject of boos and whistles in last weekend’s match against Rayo Vallecano, for letting in six goals against Barcelona and Sevilla in their two previous matches.

Re: 2014 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. I
Paris Saint-Germain winger Jeremy Menez expects to leave the Ligue 1 leaders after failing to agree terms for a contract extension.
Menez joined PSG from Roma in July 2011 and scored the goal that secured the league title for the capital club in last season's 1-0 win at Lyon in May 2013.
However, the France international has found opportunities limited under coach Laurent Blanc this term, making just nine starts in all competitions.
Juventus, Liverpool and Arsenal have all been linked with a move for Menez, whose contract with PSG expires in June.
And the former Monaco man, who underwent back surgery before the start of the season, admitted that he is unlikely to remain at the Parc des Princes beyond this term.
"I'm at the end of my contract, and we haven't been able to reach an agreement. So, it's going to be difficult to stay," Menez told Canal+.
"For my good, I have to get back onto the pitch, enjoy myself and get my confidence back.
"I still have objectives to achieve. For that, I think I'm going to have to leave.
"My objective will be Euro 2016. It's a little complicated. I have never found myself in a situation like this. My season started badly, I had an operation. After that, there were games in which I should have played but didn't.
"That's due to things other than football, but that's part of it. You have to deal with it, and I am digging in. There are two months left. We'll see after that."

Mbiwa's future in doubt.
So Mbiwa gets clean sheets against Man Yoo, Chelsea and Spurs and then gets dropped for no reason what so ever.... then gets brought back in at RB and shockingly plays poorly because he isn't a RB !
Then Pardew decides " he isn't suited to the Premier League" and wants him out.
Absolute joke, one of the few players who should be not for sale but nah....
Its Pardew whose future which should be in doubt, going to be just grand when this idiot takes us down next season while all the talent is sold off.

Evra could move to Serie A, according to his representative.
“Even though he turns 33 in May, he still has another three to four seasons at the highest level in his legs,” Pastorello told Tele Radio Stereo.
“Inter and Roma? Speaking with him, I have understood that technically Serie A is a possibility.
“He is very attached to Manchester United even if recently things have changed a bit. But Evra still has not taken a final decision.”

Bayern Munich want to keep Toni Kroos.
“Toni Kroos is sure to play in a Bayern Munich shirt next year as well,” Rummenigge told reporters on Monday.
Guardiola added: ”Toni has one year more of a contract and Toni will remain.
“I hope he can extend his contract and stay with us because he is a very good guy, he loves his game, it is not just a job for him and I would like him to stay.
“I spoke with the player, with the club, I gave my opinion. After that I am not manager, I am just the trainer.”

Re: 2014 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. I
Louis van Gaal has met the Spurs chairman, Daniel Levy, and made it clear he is interested in the White Hart Lane post.
The Dutchman is also trying to force his way into the frame as a possible replacement for David Moyes at Manchester United and is expected to receive a lucrative proposal from Spartak Moscow.
Levy is also understood to be impressed by the work of Mauricio Pochettino at Southampton and is closely monitoring contract negotiations between the south coast club and the Argentine.
Pochettino is viewed by some Spurs insiders as a better fit for the club than Van Gaal, having successfully worked under a hands-on executive chairman, Nicola Cortese, and head of recruitment, Paul Mitchell.
The future of Pochettino could be affected by the admission of Southampton’s new director, Hans Hofstetter, that the club owe £27 million in outstanding transfer fees and face a £30 million bill for their new training ground.
That will only encourage clubs, including Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham, to bid for teenage left-back Luke Shaw. Spurs are also among a host of clubs ready to make a summer offer for Adam Lallana.
Brazilian Paulinho was not part of Sherwood’s squad for the trip to Liverpool and the midfielder has admitted he is growing increasingly dissatisfied with life at White Hart Lane.
Paulinho, who joined Spurs for £17 million from Corinthians last summer, said: “I always want to play. I understand the team rotation because that’s how it works here, but I am not feeling well or comfortable. I want to be present, I want to play.
“The language is the most complicated thing as I am lazy about studying. I am learning little by little, but I don’t understand everything. The football language is easier, that’s not a problem on the pitch.”
Central defender Jan Vertonghen is another player who is becoming increasingly unsettled at Tottenham. He is waiting to find out the extent of the ankle injury he suffered against Liverpool after undergoing a scan.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/tottenham-hotspur/10735313/Tottenham-manager-Tim-Sherwood-and-players-hold-second-inquest-in-the-space-of-a-month.html
I thought Southampton were supposed to be on fairly solid financial grounds. Are The Telegraph just making a big deal out of normal operating overhead or is this actually an issue for them? The Telegraph are generally less prone to hyperbole and nonsense.

Re: 2014 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. I
Edinson Cavani has suggested that unless Paris Saint-Germain change their playing system, he could look to leave the club in the summer.
Cavani is the most expensive player in French football history after PSG paid Napoli over £60million for his signature.
The Uruguayan star has not disappointed in his displays and has 21 goals to his name this season, but with Laurent Blanc using a 4-3-3 system, Cavani has had to do his work from the right wing, with Zlatan Ibrahmovic leading the line.
And Cavani has suggested that he is not happy with the situation, which had led to the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid being strongly linked with the 27-year-old.
“Will I remain at Paris next term? We will see at the end of the season," he told L’Equipe when asked about his future.
"I am fine in Paris, but obviously there are things we have to talk about with the club, things we need to do in a different way."
System
Asked about having to play wide because of the system, he said: "Of course it is not easy. Playing besides players like Zlatan, Thiago Silva, Thiago Motta or Lavezzi is great for any player.
"But for a forward used to scoring and which has to do defensive tasks now, it is not easy.
"I don’t want to talk about sacrifices because making efforts has always been part of my game. But now I am more defensive and it is more difficult because when you came, it was with other ideas and other views about your position in the team and the club.
"Playing in 4-4-2 was my vision of the team when I joined Paris. It is one of the arguments that motivated me to sign in that club. Let’s terminate Le Championnat and we will see what will happen.”
Early this season Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho admitted that luring Cavani away from the Parc des Princes would certainly be an easier proposition to that of landing Ibrahimovic.
Asked about Moruinho's comments, he added: "He probably had good reasons to say that, but I don’t know anything. I am not journalist, I am not talking about transfers.
"Indeed, Chelsea was very attracted to me last summer, but what is really important in their transfers? PSG showed real trust and real determination to include me in their project. When you pay such transfer fee, that is a proof you really want the player."
He was asked about reports that Chelsea and Man United had opened talks with his representatives in February.
"Frankly I don’t know," he said. "Nowadays, my family is with me in Paris and if something should happen, my brother will manage it and will sit on a table with any clubs' officials."

Sherwood blew the chance of bringing Suarez to Spurs, reveals Gullit
Ruud Gullit has revealed that Tim Sherwood turned down the chance to sign Luis Suarez when the striker was at Ajax.
Sherwood’s Tottenham will come up against Suarez, now one of the most feared forwards in world football, when they play title challengers Liverpool on Sunday.
But, according to Gullit, Sherwood went on a scouting mission to see the Uruguayan in Holland before he moved to Merseyside and spurned the opportunity to buy him.
‘They came to watch him,’ the former Chelsea player said.
‘I met Sherwood together with Les Ferdinand, they were Harry Redknapp’s assistants at the time and were also his scouts.
‘They asked me all kinds of questions about Suarez, so I just point blank said: “You have to snap him up, without any hesitation, in a heartbeat.”
‘“Well, we’re not sure,” they said whilst they actually watched him play.
‘That’s a huge mistake, if you ask me. Afterwards they said to me: “Well, we might have got it wrong.”’

Re: 2014 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. I
Verona have told Porto they will take up their €15m option to sign Juan Iturbe, but his agent noted he’ll “favour Italy” if top clubs call.
The 20-year-old Argentina talent arrived on loan last summer and from the start it was fairly clear Hellas would not let him get away.
Now it’s reported Porto have received an official communication from Verona confirming they will activate the buy-out option for €15m.
This will put Verona in a position to spark a bidding war, which could involve Napoli, Roma, Inter, Liverpool, Chelsea and Real Madrid, among others.
“This is something that regards Hellas,” agent Isidoro Gimenez told Tuttomercatoweb.
“For now we are awaiting news from Verona. Iturbe will remain there until May, then we’ll see if Hellas buy out the player.
“ We’ll see what happens after that, but I cannot say anything because at the moment no club has spoken to me about making an offer to Verona in the summer.
“At the moment he is happy at Verona, but it’s beyond doubt he is liked throughout Europe. The boy’s intentions are to stay in Italy. He is happy here, so remaining in Serie A is first and foremost on the agenda.
“Having said that, it requires a club that will seriously build on his quality. He contributed to Verona’s good season and is happy with his choice to come here.”

Re: 2014 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. I
Napoli offered Pepe Reina a contract extension, but it’s reported the goalkeeper turned the first proposal down.
He is currently on loan from Liverpool and his contract expires in June 2016, but President Aurelio De Laurentiis confirmed he wants the 31-year-old to stay.
According to Calciomercato.com, Liverpool are prepared to sell Reina for a maximum of £5m.
The problem appears to be the personal terms, as it’s claimed Napoli offered a four-year deal worth €2.5m per season plus performance-related bonuses.
It would be a huge drop for Reina, who currently earns €4.5m without bonuses.
The same source also suggests the Spaniard is not convinced he wants to end his career in Naples, so would prefer a two-year contract paying wages of at least €3.5m per season.
