He didn't honestly. Alas, thought Bilbao was wasteful in their possession but it was a "fair" result. Modric getting dominated by a midfield says more about Real Madrid than Modric himself. He hardly had any sort of support from his midfield partners so it wasn't hard for them to zone him out.

According to the rules, he should miss at least 2 games. Cup+LIGA since its a straight red.

But, Real Madrid will appeal and RFEF will allow him to play
