If Ronaldo so shitty, a waste of space, etc pp bla bla, then it follows that it doesn't take a lot for Messi to better than him.

The opposite is the case of course. Ronaldo is an uncomparable talent, one of the greatest of all times.

It just so happens Messi is just a little better than him.

Still, I can't understand why any objective football fan would look at this year and think: "You know who really should get this award for a change? Messi.."

If you don't consider Ribery a great enough individual player to get the award (which is bullshit), then heck, give it to Ibra if only for that 25m overhead goal against us...

Ibra is having another crazy season btw... 21 goals and 8 assists already for PSG including 8 CL goals lol. He has to be approaching 50 goals and 20 assists for the CY..

Ibra deserves to be in the history of this award.
He does things noone else can do and will ever be able to do.

hapless, I think that c.ronaldo is an all time great, but I don't think that Messi is just a little bit better than him. For me, their goalscoring abilities is pretty similiar, although I would give Messi a slight edge but Messi's playmaking skills gives him an extra dimension that C.ronaldo doesn't have and takes him up a level..

Think about it. Messi has been the player that has scored the most goals these past 5 years while at the same time being the player with the most assist only behind Özil. And even then, Messi had only 4 assist less.

Like I said, Messi at his best is better than the best C.Ronaldo by a big margine because of his playmaking skills.

Maybe in scoring but that's about it isn't it, and even then other legends surpass him in that.

If you ask me, Ronaldo is the worse player already if you only consider his ridiculous way of taking every 35 yards free kick with his ritual steps and never ever scoring from it.

TBH I think Ronaldo is an 'all time great', I suppose, but there are a lot of attackers I would take ahead of him.

depends on our definitions of all time greats, from the top tier like Pele, Maradona etc all atleast we very successful whether it was national team or club football.
Maybe Ronaldo has a disadvantage cuz a current Messi at the same time as him but still.
I'm still iffy, his goal scoring is good but as I said above his numbers are his best attributes and others have better numbers.

They offer different things. While Messi is a better playmaker , Ronaldo is the more dangerous goal threat, being capable of scoring any kind of goals.Messi is the best with the ball, wwhereas the portuguese is the bestr without it. Stop comparing, just enjoy them, since we'll probably never see any player better then these 2.

PS: Ronaldo's goal  celebrations are at another level btw
