is there a player worth watching in SA atm? i swear i only started watching SA teams because of Nerman and Ganso few years back.

3 months ago it looked like River had qualification in the bag but now we need Velez or Newell's to become champions in order to qualify...

your loss.. best player in South America right now.

There's also the young Botafogo centreback Doria. Bonafide since age 18 and hasn't looked back since. There's also River Plate's Colombian centreback, Eder Balanta.

I don't think theres much to pry in terms of magic other than the kid at Internacional.

4x0!!! Deportivo Quito is awful though.

The Atl. Paranaense penalty shoot out was crazy though. All sporting needed to go through was convert one of their last two penalties and they missed both.

Also, with Atletico's win, Corinthians remains the only Brasilian club to get knocked out in the Libertadores qualifiers.

Last year he was great during the state championship at the beginning of the year and many thought he'd finally deliver on his talent. But then, the Brasileirao came and he was pure garbage. He would go invisible for large stretches of time and was often our worse attacking player. He also suffered from injuries adding to his struggles.

This year, however, he has really stepped up and is performing against higher caliber opponents. He's really taking charge and is becoming a consistent threat for us. I really hope he keeps it up. He can be an instrumental player for us this season.
