Hopefully at least one of our team's takes it seriously...

Corinthians looks like the only strong team right now lol.

Is Xolo's the only team with synthetic grass in the cup right now? That could be an advantage for them

Yes.

All the Brazilian teams are strong right now, minus Palmeiras who obviously relegated this past season.

I fully expect a Brazilian team to win it again.

Velez and Newell's are strong this year. I would be surprised if they both don't make it to the semis. Boca has Bianchi back so they stand a chance - albeit I don't want them to win.

One of Corinthians, Sao Paulo, Flu, and Gremio will win it imo. They're just too strong man.

Sao Paulo are a great team,, Lucio is back in Brazil with Os Bambis.. they also agreed to terms with Breno. They still have Rafael Toloi and Rhodolfo. Sick back line. Based Jadson with Luis Fabiano, Ademilson uptop.. dat Bruno Cortes at LB, Wellington and Denilson destroying in the mid with Casemiro.. Ganso oh based Gansoo, Negueba comes on loan, The speedy Osvaldo.. man They are stacked.

Corinthians always stacked.. Flu are basically the same team that won the Brasileirao, same for Atletico Mineiro who still have Jo, Bernard, Ronaldinho, Rever and Leonardo Silva. Gremio with based Fernando in the mid, Marcelo Moreno and Kleber duo. Dida in nets, lel old Dida..And they might sign Eduardo Vargas. Dat trident with Marcelo and Kleber geezzz

Brazil team to win it again. I don't doubt it.

Sao Paulo thumped Bolivian side, Bolivar, 5-0 last night in E Morumbi.. that series is basically over.

Gremio left Ecuador with a 1-0 loss.. Gremio really dominated the game, but were very unlucky not to score, everyone fully expects them to turn the score around and more in Porto Alegre.

Final results:

Boca Juniors fall to Toluca in Buenos Aires 2-1. Boca took the lead early through a Santiano Silva penalty, but played an awful second half and got thoroughly out skilled in La Bombonera by the Mexico side who took the three points thanks to goals by Carlos Esquivel and Edgar Benitez.

Atletico Mineiro 2-1 Sap Paulo, O Galo get their first win of the campaign at home thanks to lacks Sao Paulo defending on a throw-in, in which Dinho took full advantage and found the assist to Jo. He later took on two defenders to the byline and floated a nicely weight cross to Rever who headed it home. Sao Paulo struck late on a Aloisio goal. Ganso missed a beauty, just wide as the game was coming to a close.

Fluminense take all three points from Venezuelan side, Caracas, in Venezuela. Fred with the only goal of the game.

Penarol beat Deportivo Iquique in Chile 2-1. Penarol scored early and later took control of the game. Sound win from the Uruguayan side. Fabio Estoyanoff and Juan Olivera scored for Penarol, as Manuel Villalobos scored for the home side Iquique.

Idk if this has made headlines across the globe yet, but last night 14 yr old Bolivian kid, Kevin Beltran died in the Corinthians vs. San Jose game thanks to stupid Corinthians fans who brought explosives to the game.

Theres a giant uproar in Brazil and Bolivia and want something to be done about this. Its really sad. 14 yr old kid dieing over some stupid fans being stupid. smh I'm even more saddended that it was Gavioes Fiel that did it, this will be a mark in Corinthian's history for years to come.

RIP Kevin Beltran.

Corinthians have already issued a statement saying they will wear a Black Armband and mourn for two weeks in honor of Kevin Beltran. Which means their games against Millionarios and Bragantino they will have moment of silences.

Also Corinthians fan were held in the stadium till early morning due to mobs forming outside of the stadium waiting to exact revenge on Corinthians fans for what they did last night. Sad.

Corinthians fans have been banned to attend home and away game for 60 days. Only applies to Copa Libertadores fixtures.

Which means during those 60 days, Corinthians will play their home games behind closed doors and no tickets will be allowed to be sold to Corinthians fans during away ties.

Tijuana beat Millonarios in COlombia which is a great win. Not too flashy from them just great defending. Looked like they were happy with a draw, but they pulled out a road win in the end. Promising start for Xolos

and Xolos blow out San Jose in Tijuana 4-0.. Xolos is a good team.

Atletico Mineiro see off Arsenal de Sarandi 5-2 in Argentina!!! and are now group leaders, as are Xolos.

Btw the highlight of the Atletico-MG game?? A two footed lunge directly aimed for Ronaldinho's right leg that went UNPUNISHED!! NOT EVEN A YELLOW CARD!!!
