Santos win the 2011 Copa Libertadores

We beat Peñarol 2-1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It should've been like 5-1, but we have a striker named Ze Eduardo who's been incredibly bad this season, he missed two sitters.

It shouldve been a clean sheet too - their goal was scored by our centerback, an unfortunate own goal.

I admire Penarol for arriving all the way, and I planned to say some good things about them after the match. But this final attitude has disgusted me. EDIT: However I just read that it was not really them who started it, but a fan who invaded the pitch and provoked them. I dont know how much of it is true and how much of it are excuses, but the fact is that only CONMEBOL will allow these things to happen and take no action. It happen quite often at the Libertadores (fights).

A great goal by Neymar and another by Danilo won us the title. Great plays by Arouca, Ganso, and Elano..Arouca has been incredible, just incredible.

Now, if we dont pull an Internacional, we are likely to be playing against Barcelona at the end of the year.. if we keep Neymar , Ganso, and the skeleton of our team, it should be a great match!!!

The fight at the end was great, who was that one guy who got the shit kicked outta him by the Penarol team? He was wearing white so I assume he's affiliated with Santos.. Didn't look like a fan

it was not great, they were about to stain a great match and a very much deserved title.. not to mention their own incredible campaign.. SANTOS SEMPRE SANTOS

Thinking about it now, I can say for sure that Penarol were our easiest opponents during the knock out stages... America, Once Caldas and Cerro Porteno were tougher..

this match wasnt 5-0 because we dont have a true number 9. and this is no exaggeeration, thats how many goals we wasted..

and their goal was an own goal by our centerback, its the only way for them to score lol... SANTOS

this match was the easiest by far,but that match at the centenario was the 2nd toughest (after the america match)
