Yeah I think Okafor is a huge expiring and he's out for the year or most of it so he won't effect their draft position at all.

I'm sure they could've got better but maybe they wanted to move him before the season.

edit: if Okafor wasn't injured I don't think this would be much of an upgrade at all for the Wizards. 9.7 & 8.8 in 26min vs 11.1 & 8.5 in 31 min. Don't really think it changes anything, still a fringe playoff team in the East.

Yeah, Gortat aint much better than Okafor. Though, it seems like Okafor misses more games, but that could just be my impression and not be factually true.

I would say one thing though, Gortat runs the floor better than Emeka and that probably fits with Wall, Beal, Ariza and I guess Porter (I dont know how he runs, but he is young wing so I just assume lol).

Yeah Okafor is definitely injury prone, he's had back injuries his whole career.

But if Emeka comes back healthy maybe by January, he could get bought out and sign with a contender.

DeAndre Jordan, the corpse of Jamison and Mullens isnt going to cut it vs Duncan, either Gasol, Howard or even Bogut in the playoffs. Or even Cousins and Pekovic.

Pau > Marc offensively imo, Pau just didn't fit next to Dwight as a 4.

No, both Gasol's Mole, Marc and Pau.

Im convinced Pau can still be a force, they just need to put him in the post consistently. Not have him taking 18 foot jumpers all game long.

Pau in the post would eat Mullins, Jamison or Jordan alive I reckon.

I don't know whether he or Kaman will start at center...but I think that him and Pau will be a massive upgrade offensively to Pau and Dwight.

If Kaman starts then he will guard centers and I can imagine him and Pau take turns in the post offensively because both of them are capable of hitting a jumper unlike Howard.

Defensively it is indeed awful though.
