Dummond and Monroe combine for 4-18 shooting.
I didnt watch the game or even the highlights, but im thinking, when you have your point guards going 1-15, the only other guard go 6-17 and everyone else is a forward (Smith, Singler, Jerebko, Mitchell, Villanueva) you can imagine there is very little room to operate close to the basket.

Celtics were no longer competitors by that point. Even with Allen were they getting past Miami? Or Indy? The Franchise wrote:The Celtics and Heat were both competing for a title, Allen left one to go to the other.
And I watched part of 1 Piston preseason game and Brandon Jennings actually acted like PG... for about 5 minutes before he started chucking the wild shots. When he's playing pass first he can be good.
And 4-18 absolutely sucks for a post duo, didn't see it but that's ugly. But Drummonds already starting to show a hook shot. I'm reading rumors that the Pistons won't resign Monroe because they can only offer one 5 year max and they will save it for Drummond.
I did see this the other day:
Simple for other players but if Drummond can start making that, look out.

In KG and PP mind, they still were competing, which is why they got pissed about it.

But yeah, I heard about not resigning Monroe...dunno..he seems like a player I would want to keep, not over Drummond but still.
Does it have to be the Max? Why would they offer Monroe that? Hes good but, not that good.

Good question I don't think he's quite a max player either. But I think he's going to try to get a max, maybe some team will do it,otherwise go back to Detroit.

What do we think of that new rule where you automatically get a delay of game for redirecting the ball(like at the ref or w/e) after a made shot. Seems kinda lame to me, is it really going to speed up the game that much?

I know a ton of teams will have cap room, but they surely wont be targeting him first, as good a young player as he is.dmize wrote:Good question I don't think he's quite a max player either. But I think he's going to try to get a max, maybe some team will do it,otherwise go back to Detroit.
Maybe Dallas IDK.
Bit lame I agree. Some players do it to slow fast breaks so I understand the need to stop it...but really sometimes it's almost a natural reaction.dmize wrote:What do we think of that new rule where you automatically get a delay of game for redirecting the ball(like at the ref or w/e) after a made shot. I play pick up 2-3 times a weeks and when the ball drops in and your right under the basket, sometimes you just touch it in the general direction of out of bounds as your trying to get back on defence and the ball is just "there". I think you can kind of tell the difference between that and purposely stopping a fast break.
If its about speeding up the game, its completely baffling...how about the 4 million time outs?

I think a league pass is like 250 US dollars, for all teams.
it is 1250 danish kroner. And i think 250 us$ is the equivalent of that

Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
yeah I'm sure the Celtics FO wouldn't dream of using an expiring,9 million dollar contract they just gave to 36 year old as trade bait, especially since they already tried to trade him. I'm pretty sure your family would rather choose to live in Miami than be forced to move to say Detroit if you got traded. The Franchise wrote:Dont make sense to me in regards to KG and PP.
First of all, KG and PP were traded. If they had a choice between staying and Boston trying to challange again by adding to the core...or bolting...they would of obviously stayed.
Second, Boston and Jersey dont have no rivalry...they werent competing with each other for a title in previous years and they wont be this year. Allen bolted from one title contender to their most hated rivals...its hardly the same.
Third, this "best thing for my family" thing is such a load of shit
Players at that level change teams for better chance of winning....Allen didnt move to help his family in any way whatsoever, he is earning less money and as far as I know, his family wasnt living in Miami lol
Dont take this as me criticising Ray, he obviously had problems with Rondo and the way he was being used so he moved teams, to a better one. Not everyone would jump ship to the arch rival, but its not too bad considering the stage of his career. But Lebron makes no sense to me here, the situations arent really close to being the same.
I agree though, while he had good intentions, lebrons wrong on this one

Sarcasm? Why?
He's been up and down for a while now.. If he's knees don't get better now, I don't think they ever will
They haven't been in good shape since what 2011? I think giving him 3 seasons before I lose all hope isn't too bad
@ dmize, count me out.. Fantasy leagues seems too time consuming.. I prefer to just watch games

Up and down? With all due respect, what dwade have you been watching? knees and his elite status have nothing to do with each other. Granted he's been hurt at the end of the season the last few years, but he's definitely still a top ten player in this league. 22pts on 50% is absurdly good good for anyone other than a center, let alone a sg. The guy just shoots less because of lebron. and this is without taking his assists and rebounding into account. just look at his performances in the playoffs, the man is still a beast.

Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
wtf are you talking about? Go look at the game logs. I can't believe I'm reading this. He had 5 maybe six bad games, most in the beginning when he wad coming off the injury. By the time the finals came along, he was balling. Even in that 4 pt game against Milwaukee, he ha9 assists and pulled down 11 rebounds. Lets not get carried away.Blue Barrett wrote:Sorry, but he was shit for most of the playoffs.

He averaged 15.9pts/4.8asts/4.6rbs on 45.7% FG in the playoffs. Those are OJ Mayo numbers, sir.FilthyLuca wrote:wtf are you talking about? Go look at the game logs. I can't believe I'm reading this.Blue Barrett wrote:Sorry, but he was shit for most of the playoffs.
No he was nothing special for 90% of the playoffs. In fact, he had just ONE great game(Game 4 vs Spurs) and 1 or 2 good games.
What else is there for me to see?

my friend, oj mayo WISHES he could have those numbers period, let alone coming off a knee injury.Blue Barrett wrote:He averaged 15.9pts/4.8asts/4.6rbs on 45.7% FG in the playoffs. of course his avg for the playoffs is off, he was hurt and barely used in the first round. And to call 23&10 on 52% in game 7 and 25 & 10 45% "good" games, is ridiculous. ESPECIALLY as the second option, meaning less touches. As for the rest playoffs, there's alot more to basketball than scoring alot of pts.

Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
What are you saying? Those are identical numbers to OJ Mayo's season average last year Do I have to provide you with those stats too?
I'm not bashing Wade, but there's no need to be making excuses for him. He hasn't been the same since 2011. He had some incredibly POOR games in the playoffs last season as well. If you want me to spell out everything for you game by game, I can do that too.
Oh and now when I provide stats there's a lot more to basketball than the game logs you told me to look into?

Yes, he has been up and down since 2011 and if you can't see that then something's wrong with you bro
Last year he had an efficient regular season but was poor for the majority of the playoffs.. The year before he was poor for the majority of the regular season, but came up big in certain playoff games (in the Indiana series in particular)
That is 'up and down'
He had 2 great games in last years finals, I really can't remember any other great games in the playoffs that he had.. Not many that's for sure

I cant believe im reading this...
for starters, 22 4 and 4 on 49 % is special (referring to the year before), maybe you haven't been watching basketball long enough to know this, but SG don't average 20 ppg on 50% shooting, it doesn't happen, those are Center numbers (because of their height and that most of their shots come from hooks and dunks in the paint, this is a 6'4" SG) and to simply call it efficient is absurd. 20 5 and 5 on 52% with 1 block and 2 stls is elite, in any era, let alone now.
for the love of god, he had a 24 PER last year, that's 7th in the league. and 27 the year before, 3rd in the league. but according to you "he was poor the majority of last season". go compare that to Kobe or whom ever else you like and see how it stacks up.
I watched damn near every game last year, and he still has stretches where he takes over the game despite having the best player on the planet, who by the way is another ball-dominant superstar and not having a serious presence in the paint to create space. his mid range jumper is grossly underrated and while his off the ball movement isn't ray allens or reggie millers, its still in the top echelon which is pretty amazing considering he spent his first 7 or 8 season with the ball in his hands most of the game.
not to mention half of the game is played on the defensive end, at which he's still an elite defender.
he's easily a top 2-3 SG in this league, and top ten player for sure. I don't know what your standards are, but you don't have to avg 30ppg to be good.
if Hubie Brown were dead, he'd be rolling over in his grave.

There's 2 versions, the one Freeza mentioned which is all teams, and then you can get a 5 team package which is cheaper. That's what I do, and I get the broadband version, since they still don't show LP games in HD on my cableBlue Barrett wrote:Dmize, Dani, what are the prices for League Pass like and how do you guys prefer it? But I would go with the 5 team package, most of the good games on national tv. Also you can pay for the whole year at once, or just go month to month which is cool.

I think your best bet, as was stated above, is streaming, the quality is extremely good nowadays, and you can pick and choose the games you like. unless your internet blows for whatever reason like it does at my house.dmize wrote:There's 2 versions, the one Freeza mentioned which is all teams, and then you can get a 5 team package which is cheaper.
