Lin won't be a huge draw.. The only thing that helps draw for Lakers is winning.
Nash's contract is the one we messed up with, worst trade I can remember.

But Bulls will get better by the time FA is done, as will Cleveland and i expect them both to be better by the time the season starts.

Not entirely sure. SVG has said since he took over he wants to re-sign Monroe, I've read they might offer something around what Gortat got.

Why am I insulting him?
1. not getting Phil back in some sort of role.
2. Hiring Mike Brown and D'antoni scrubs.
3. Settling for Lin with the big contract instead of going after other legit players, that could actually be cheaper, and offer something on defense (Seriously.. Thomas should have gotten an offer).
4. If he really wanted to tank, the team would stay intact, since our 1st, is top 5 protected. So they're just wasting money as we're speaking on a team that's not going to the playoff, while still being too good to get a top 5 pick.

That Steve Nash trade really screwed us over.

Lin is making a lot this year but it's an expiring deal. Lakers could use him as an asset during the season.

edit: just saw your other post where you mention LA is probably getting a Rockets 1st rounder. I think it's a pretty good deal actually

Yeah I guess the Lin deal is good if we get the 1st, and that probably the reason we took the deal. We're not going to resign him for much if we have any sense in this world. Miami must be great to live in, the Heat must be a cool organisation to be with and its nice they have a good track record...but when you get on the court, it dont mean anything because there is no Shaq, there is no Prime Wade and there is no Lebron.

Whichever free agent it is that is going there, wont be that good.
