Funny trivia: No English team that was drawn with FC Basel in a CL group has advanced to the Last 16 until now. Basel's victims so far: Liverpool and Manchester United

Hm. Guess I should watch the German conference with BVB and Schalke and dig out a stream for Basel. *sighs* Too much choice on Wednesday...

Yeah 8 games in 1 night is too much, think they should spread 1 matchdays over 4 nights in 2 weeks.

Think it used to be something like that. Would be able to watch most big games then.

Fail. Manchester United advanced in the quarter-finals in 2002-2003 in a group (2nd stage groups where 16 teams were involved, but still a big difference, it wasn't knockout) with Super Depor, Juve and Basel.

And don't tell me that you said 'last 16' and not 'quarter-finals', because I'll say: 'what's your point then?". The whole idea of the statement you wrote is to make people believe that 'no english team advanced in latter stages of UCL from a group with Basel'.

So, English teams shouldn't worry, they can advance from a group with Basel.

@Vlad

He, looks I forgot the "first" as in "first group stage".
BTW, fcb.ch posted the info here:

Plzen vs City 1:4

Not a chance of this happening, can see Plzen nicking this one.

City dont look much better than last season and Plzen have a quite a formidable home record.

Man City will probably get beat they've looked utter tripe in the CL.

I'll obviously be watching the Marseille game but think Napoli v Dortmund will definitely be the game of the week.

Actually just saw Milan are missing half their team and all key players such as the likes of Montolivo,Abate,MDS,SES and likely Poli too.No Kaka as well.

Think Celtic can nick a win here.

Since when 4-2 result (when your first goal was offside and foul) considered rape ?? Proud

btw, I'm wondering how much Leno was paid by United. definitely more than we paid Shelvey last night

Worst keeping performance of the past decade

Definitely agree, that match isn't considered "rape" but a solid win nonetheless. I could have sworn Leno was rate highly as a goal keeper, certainly didn't show it...
