benzema playing as a number 10 instead of isco is more of realistic possibility than isco playing upfront instead of beznema . Laughing

muller did it in 35 games ,benz in 59.

To be fair, the team that played in this friendly did have a fair number of mediocre and/or very young players who have little to no international pedigree or experience. Certainly, the midfield and attack had some very recognizable names but they have little to nothing to do with Benzema's performance compared to the defense, which ranged (as usual) from young (Indi) to mediocre (Vlaar).

On form he is on par with every striker bar Ibra. Maybe even better than them all. His problem is that he is inconsistent.

On top form he is behind Ibra, Aguero, Suarez and maybe a few others. Let's not kneejerk because he beasted against a meh Netherlands defence.
