Exhausted due to lack of rotation ? Ronaldo has played around 200 games in the last 4 seasons without being subbed, in which he scored 200 goals. This is a footballer who has the right to have a bad period after all he's done, not some random French footballer who was consistent 1 out of 5 seasons when everyone on his team was in the form of their lives. If there's someone who gets too good treatment for his bad patches is Benzema.

Im certain players like Bale and Ronaldo atm are never 100% fit. These excuses are getting old;the guy is invisible in every big game.

yeah getting old  The guy is averaging 25 goals and 14 assists per season the last 4 seasons...  25 goals and 16 assists in 46 CL games for Madrid (37/17 in 65 games in career).

Really horrible.  Running out of excuses for his lack production this Benzema.

@Valkyrja.  Bale, CR7 and Di Maria were rested in April and May due to their injuries.  Benz was forced to play through them because his injury didn't involve a tear (knee inflammation with a sore hamstring).  The other guys had muscle strains that dictated stoppage until they healed.  Benz started 52 games for Madrid last season... all but 3 from Jan 1.  Bale only had 36 and Di Maria had 44.

Problem wasn't really the number of games though... it was the concentration of them in the last 5 months and the fact that injuries to others forced him to play injured when he should have been rested here and there. We literally ran out of forwards in the end.

When you put his name anywhere near Cristiano Ronaldo he becomes a random French footballer. Stop putting these guys' names in the same sentence, they're not even comparable.

This is a proper example of GL changing the way people look at a player..

first month - large amount of hate
second month - more hate
third month - people start to realize maybe they exaggerated when they said he sucked
fourth month - underrated due to the amount of hate he got
fifth month - every small touch he does that is good gets overhyped
sixth month - people get tired of the overhype and go back to step 1

Benzema is above average nothing more nothing less

Sanchez out scored him last season in la liga despite sharing the bench.
hell Pedro wasn't too far off either
and those two are considered flops in the role
his weekly scoring was totally freighting

Are you guys expecting Benzema to score as much as Ronaldo ? Madrid goalscorer is Ronaldo. If Cr7 was officially playing as a CF and Benzema as a winger maybe you guys would get that their roles are interchanged.

no one is saying he should score more then ronaldo..
the only comparison I personally made was to a winger such as Alexis or Pedro who also are not the main scorers of their team either.

I get you guys point but if Benzema was scoring in more games ( not necessarily scoring more, slight difference) well he'd be the best striker in the world imo. He reminds me of Henry with the NT. You guys critics are way over the top. Hence why guys like Ancelotti and Mourinho trusted him until now.

Because monsieur Flopzema goes into early vacations when all teams are on equal points and comes back to form in the middle of the season when the league looks already lost just to go into early vacations again at the end when Madrid get a chance to come back. DAT mentality.
