I know newcastle are newcastle but still i would say 25m is the max you should pay, considering his deserving evaluation 17m (probably arguable)+6-7m extra due to market situation.

Southampton shouldn't be treated like a scrub team punching above their weight on this forum. They've bounced back really well after their financial troubles and seem to be good at finding talent; recently Walcott, Bale and Oxlade-Chamberlain have come from their academy. Imagine if that happened when they were in the top-flight? Even one of them in the team would be great and they could have asked for bigger fees for those players. They're spending some money and looking to sign good players, they're definitely on the up and just because they were in the Championship two seasons ago doesn't mean they're bad and players like Osvaldo shouldn't be joining them.
