Re: Manchester United 2013/2014 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
after seeing the first 30 mins or so i didnt expect this kind of a scoreline at the end. woaa..
clearly difference in finishing between the sides helping us to get this much needed confidence boosting victory.
>The old Valencia is back it seems. May be the pressure of Zaha waiting for a chance has produced the best out of him. Great for United going forward this season. Also it was the best thing he did to change his # back to 25.
>Welbeck despite the goals he scored i was disappointed by the way he went to do those tricks just in front of our box to gift them a goal. Its good he is starting to score but he still need to improve. Good thing Moyes has confidence in him.
>Van Persie .. well what can we say about the champion. What a way to silence his critics. Excellent stuff
>Rooney looked sharp as well but sadly its reflecting on his face his unhappiness
All in all an OUTSTANDINGGGGGGGGG START to the campaign !

How brilliant were those 2 goals from RVP??? Then Welbeck almost outshines them both with his 4th. Unreal.
That game couldn't have gone any better. Shame that we conceded a goal due to Welbeck's complacency, but still, what a great win.
We are very fortunate to have such an incredible player like RVP. But not only that, I thought DDG and the defence were solid today.
Well done Moyes and the players.

4-1 at Swansea is a fantastic result.
Van Persie is unreal.
No excuses for the goal conceded Welbeck has played enough times with the first team not make a mistake like that, you could see it in De Gea's reaction. Second goal made up for it though, that was beautiful, the true Welbeck showing.

Re: Manchester United 2013/2014 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
exactly. was really frustrated after seeing that. If he did that in the opponent half or somewhere else on the park it would have been okay and acceptable to lose the ball like that as that wouldnt have cost us, but to dribble like that just outside the penalty box its utter foolishness and complacency showing.ronaldo__9 wrote:

After all he is not Ronaldo or Messi right to do that and get away in that position

Re: Manchester United 2013/2014 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
He got an extended break because of the confederations cup, Kagawa only came for marketing reasons in Japan, but he (Kagawa) did feature in other games though, like against Seville. So I'm not sure entirely. Hernandez should of played some of pre-season. He didn't play for Mexico in the last friendly either. Maybe he's injuredLumiere_Blanche wrote:can someone tell me where is Hernandez ? does he have an injury or what ? Its been like ages i last saw him in Utd colours and its worrying

He'll appear by surprise against Chelsea next weekend and he will destroy them again . Luiz and Ivanovic have a lot of nightmares with Chica .

Will Nani be fit for the Chelsea game? :hmm:He always played well against them, like Chicharito.

Did you know? United have not lost the first home match of the season since 1992, when Sir Alex Ferguson’s men went down 3-0 to Everton.
Whistle blower: Martin Atkinson will be the man in the middle for this clash of the titans. After 11 seasons of refereeing, the West Yorkshire man is one of the most experienced officials in the game. Notably, United fans last him during last January’s 2-2 draw with West Ham in the FA Cup.

Re: Manchester United 2013/2014 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
Nani isn't fit so he won't play tonight. Welbeck's recent form will put him in the first team against Chelsea. I think he'll play on the left wing, Valencia on the right wing, Rooney will play Giggs' role at Swansea and obviously RvP will be in front.
Clevs and Carrick in the middle and the only question is: should Evans start over Rio? We know that Rio has his problems with his back...he can't play too much games in a row and this one is a very important one.

Re: Manchester United 2013/2014 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
4 points after two difficult games; away at Swansea and the clash with Chelsea.
At the end of the week we'll meet Liverpool at Anfield. That is a must-win game for Moyes!
Kagawa should play on the left side and Nani should be there to replace an in-form Valencia in the 2nd half, Young looks terrible when he plays on the right wing.
Yet, I don't know if Nani will be fit and fully recovered until Saturday.
Personally, I believe Jones is an awful RB.

Next game, at Old Trafford against Crystal Palace. Every game from now until November is a must-win for Moyes.
Very important match, yet I don't believe it deserves its own thread. We will write previews and reviews here.

So...no previews and reviews here. The match got its own thread.
I'd say that we won the game in a similar way we won a lot of games with Sir Alex at Old Trafford...without much effort...

Re: Manchester United 2013/2014 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
Man Utd: De Gea, Rafael Da Silva, Smalling, Evans, Buttner, Jones, Giggs, Nani, Rooney, Kagawa, Hernandez. Subs: Anderson, Carrick, Welbeck, Fabio Da Silva, Zaha, Amos, Januzaj.
Liverpool: Mignolet, Toure, Skrtel, Sakho, Jose Enrique, Gerrard, Lucas, Henderson, Suarez, Moses, Sturridge. Subs: Brad Jones, Alberto, Aspas, Sterling, Ibe, Kelly, Wisdom.
Hopefully we can see the likes of Zaha and Januzaj make an appearance today.
Liverpool, also have put out quite a strong side today.
EDIT: Rooney's Captain. Firstly, he obviously doesn't deserve the captain's armband and, secondly, Giggs is on the pitch.
