Vidic was sort of at fault for both goals today....poor header to carrick on the 2nd and just caught ball watching on the first

I don't think the first goal was Vidic's fault, he's not meant to be tracking Sidwell's run. Someone from midfield should have been

The only Man Utd players NOT to put in a cross today were David De Gea and Nemanja Vidic. 81 were made overall

This is not our club. SAF was the best thing that ever happened to United imo, but it looks like his decision to appoint Moyes has been his most catastrophic decision ever- for Utd.

Re: Manchester United 2013/2014 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
Rene Meulensteen: "United's approach was straightforward. Get it wide, get it in the box. It can be easy to defend against." 84 crosses , I know Moyes is a devout christian , but this is extracting the urine just a tad .. Fulham, who have an atrocious defensive record, decided that they could come to Old Trafford, let us have about 85 percent possession, sit in their box for ninety minutes, and not concede. They didn't even want the ball, they just kept giving it back to us. That was the tactical plan they devised after watching our tapes this season. And it nearly worked. That's how shit we are. The only variation we had to our play was when Fletcher crossed the ball in instead of Rafael.
Moyes just has to go .. and now ..

Re: Manchester United 2013/2014 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
Our two best performances this season, have come from playing Kagawa behind the striker at Swansea and Leverkusen. The RVP and Rooney partnership is not working, they lack chemistry, and Moyes isn't helping.
Kagawa and Rooney instantly had chemistry in that last 10 mins against Sociedad, never seen RVP and Rooney play like that. Mata/Kagawa behind Rooney/RVP is a must now. They don't even pass to each other. Not including kick-off, they have a total of 4 passes to each other in 2 games.

Re: Manchester United 2013/2014 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
It's clear for all to see mate that Kagawa behind either RVP or especially Rooney makes us 10x more effective in attack. But sadly, Moyes hasn't got the balls to drop either RVP or Rooney to make that happen for the good of the team. And it's sadly Kagawa who has to play in a position he is uncomfortable with and suck it up. He performs one bad game due to it and then he is shunned for a month or so. It's ridiculous.
We flood our whole attack(including subs) with so many forwards getting in each others way while our out of form wingers cross aimless balls to them. Hit and hope.
Ridiculous tactics. Those pics above make me pmsl. Tells you everything you need to know about those 2 in the same team this season, but nothing will be done about it due to them being high profile players.
edit: Also now Mata will suffer due to it too. He is most effective behind a striker, but you see him v Fulham out wide hugging the touchline. The poor fella had to cut inside and drop deep to get involved, and when he got it, it was either cross or pass it out wide. Feel so sorry for him having to play like this. This type of football is competely alien to him.

Yep, it's not even about the other two players being better than Kagawa or Mata, it's what fits the team. To Moyes more strikers= more goals, it doesn't work that way. That's how it looked like when he took off Jones for Welbeck and put Rooney in CM instead of bringing Fletcher on, against Stoke. He doesn't care for balance.

It's clueless management. No balance, just a prayer that one of those strikers could bail him out. That sub at Stoke crippled us, and to make it worse, he had Fletcher on the bench.
He panics and floods the attack with Cheech, Welbeck...all getting in each others way, no cohesion, no understanding.
Clueless, and I bet you when we're trailing v Arsenal he will do the exact same thing.

United XI: De Gea, Rafael, Smalling, Vidic, Evra; Valencia, Cleverley, Carrick, Mata; Rooney, van Persie
Subs: Lindegaard, Büttner, Ferdinand, Fellaini, Young, Hernandez, Januzaj.
Tony V is back
That means Mata on the left, so he can cross it in better.
I hope we put a good performance out there, we need it

Would have really liked to see Januzaj play instead of Valencia. FFS Moyes, Just play the kid, he's miles better than Valencia. Adnan has had his rest, play the kid.

I don't understand why we didn't sell Kagawa in January.

Not even on the bench. It's ridiculous the way Moyes has treated a player of his quality. I hope he leaves in the summer for his sake.

^ Not the first player to get treated like that too. Him, Hernandez and Nani are goners in the summer
Anyway, I hope Arsenal go easy on us. It might get ugly today.

Funnily enough, Kagawa is actually a very good crosser.

Usually I would be looking forward all week to this game...but I know we are going to play embarrassingly bad and probably lose, my excitement is very low now days

Arsenal are there for the taking, just a shame we're not cut throat enough to put them to the sword.

RVP should have scored, at the start of the match.
Both sides lack intensity.

Re: Manchester United 2013/2014 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
very boring game so far. Has 0-0 written all over it. We could have a nicked a goal earlier which is frustrating. Mata has been class.
Other than that, it's been easy shutting them out, but nothing to crow about in terms of offensive play. It's been very flat.

Cleverley was so free and Valencia didn't pass it to him. Presumably because he thinks Cleverley would have have wasted it
