Manchester United 2012/2013 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
Everton v Manchester United
20/8/12
Goodison Park
RVP and Kagawa set to make their debuts. We also have Vidic back. Goodison Park is always a tough away match.
My starting 11-
DDG
Rafael
Vidic
Rio
Evra
Cleverley
Carrick
Nani
Valencia
Rooney
RVP
Can't wait for this match. So excited that the EPL is back.
-------
Ps, I thought it would be cool to make a single thread for each campaign, ie, league, CL, CC, FA Cup..rather than single match day threads. Let me know what u think.

This is taken from eurosport.com
Those guys are 99% right every time;
I really want to see the new formation that Ferguson will adopt if he wants to play with Wazza, RVP & Kagawa together. It's interesting to see what will he do about our wing game.

Back in 07-08, Evra was always deployed as a left side midfielder. Maybe Fergie should start Kagawa on the left flank even though that is not his best position, and bring back the god-like 4-6 formation!!

I'm still angry over the Toffees' game last season. Spurned our title chances. Hope we trash them tonight to be honest.

Deffo. Should serve as the ultimate motivation.
Let's smash the Toffees.

De Gea was great, along with Kagawa.
Rooney and Welbeck can't convert. Midfield was of course shitty. Backline phenomenally flopped. What else?

Re: Manchester United 2012/2013 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
Carrick in defence, when we desperately needed him in MF cost us this game ultimately. Rooney and Nani were complete dog shit, especially Rooney.
It is such an embarrassment that a big club like us have to resort to playing a mf in defence and a RW as a RB. Utter joke.
Fellaini completely toyed with our defence, we just couldn't handle him. It was enevitable he will score from a set piece. Predictable!!
---------------------
On the plus side, Kagawa was absolutely superb! Looked way ahead in class to the rest of our players. DDG was immense too. Kept the score line respectable for us.
At the end of the day, we deserved to lose.
*bleep* sort the injuries out.

For the sensational play of Fellaini? Of course I'll watch it.
Better than the WBA one by a mile.

Did the defense KNOW we were going to have a game? I swear, crappy marking, diving in left and right. It was pathetic. Our midfield was pretty crappy, but atleast De Gea had a great game and Kagawa is looking very promising.

"midfield was pretty crappy?"
You know what Van der Vaart described Inter's defense as cheese full of holes?
Our midfield was practically one giant hole as wide as the football pitch itself!

This.
It was like a big pipe in a Super Mario game. Imagine if we were playing City.

MUFC V Fulham
Old Trafford
25/08/12
Game 2
Unbelievable that SAF doesn't play one of our reserve defenders he used in pre season instead of a fcking MF as a cb.
This is gonna be a tough game.
Another thing, why doesn't he play evra as cb and use buttner as lb?

Height advantage, most probably. Our players aren't that dominant aerially, Cleverley probably being the poorest. Also, Buttner has just joined the club, it would be unfair to start him straight away. I'm just surprised that Nani isn't even on the bench, but I'm delighted Rooney has been dropped.

Good point. I see what you mean.
As for the HL part, me too bruh.
Can't believe Nani didn't even make the bench though. He must have royally pissed off SAF with his performance v Everton. Atleast we now know who bared the full brunt of SAF's hairdryer treatment.
