Loan deal would make sense i guess and totally understandable.

If it was a permanent transfer ,it would've been a really stupid buy.

As i have posted,they probably want an experienced goalie right now over that young Brazilian goalie but i would assume he would be in their long term plans either ways.

It's completely understandable from Napoli's point of view. They always wanted an experienced keeper to help Rafael(GK) settle in. However it doesn't make sense from liverpool's perspective.

They did buy Mignolet but he isn't better than Reina.

Agree that is makes sense for Napoli, not Liverpool.

Also, unfortunately getting Rid of Amauri has been worse Mc Sad

We tried pawning him off, he whole heartedly accepted his role as a reserve to stop this and we only got rid of him when his contract ran out rofl

You guys really rate Reina highly. He's nowhere near as good as he used to be and we know it. Mignolet is without a doubt better than him which is why we're all so very happy to have him replacing Reina. Pepe is super mistake prone.

Having said that, however, I still don't understand how it benefits us sending Reina on loan.

I wish him luck wherever he goes though. He's been a great loyal member of our squad for almost a decade.

Maicon is a band-aid essentially. Roma generally don't do well with Brazilians they get for free, but he's been by far the most popular of our signings thus far (his #13 shirt is the top seller currently) so that bodes well, but we know Roma fans are notoriously fickle.

I personally do not have high expectations for him and I think Torosidis or Crescenzi have a shot at keeping him on the bench.

Both Maicon and De Sanctis are temporary stopgap solutions cos they dont have money to spend on all their weakness areas.Maybe they might look for someone better in 14-15.

TBF Cassetti's revival was due to Ranieri's ultra-defensive policies, which benefit players like that. Under the more attacking approach of Spaletti, he was dire.

As for Maicon and De Sanctis, I agree. The money from the 'Hos sale is going to help, but it's more a problem of finding quality fullbacks without breaking the bank. I really wanted us to push for Digne, but PSG shelled out 16m for him. There wasn't any way we were going to pull the trigger at that price. The goalkeeper saga should be resolved soon. I'd be ok with just about any of the guys we've been linked with tbh. Cesar would probably be the most glamorous choice, but De Sanctis appears to be the most realistic.

I feel as though all of these journalists, Internet Bullshit Artist's, etc think Suarez is as good as gone so anyone who is half decent must be in our radar.
