we still have Arbeloa who could be of interest you know

and I am doubting this deal with Illaramendi more and more as the days pass. Apparently LaReal want €40mill if they are to negotiate whereas we only want to pay €30mill which is his buyout clause that Perez doesn't want to trigger because he is a mummys boy Rolling Eyes

apparently that has been dispelled as no team have ever paid it. I read somewhere that an agent said if we get a good lawyer we will definitely not pay it. With our cash I think we can get any

Cavani has landed in France apparently along with his agent to iron out the final details and the official announcement could come today-L'Equipe.

At this point they should resist sale because there is literally no on who can replace him. But apparently Jackson Martinez's agent claimed he would be better than Cavani so he could be a viable option

Ofcourse.ADL said if someone pays Cavani's buyout clause he'll reinvest all that money into the market.

They're no Milan.They've been running on profits these past few years.They can afford to spend good money.

What is this fascination with spending 20-30m to replace Cavani?

It would be much smarter to spread that money through out the team.

They don't need to sign a big name replacement that's just throwing money away.

This 'top striker' thing is an overused term.If they can get a quality striker who can bang in goals while at the same time improve their weak departments,they would've done extremely well.

Yeah but Juve have the best D and the best midfield... that makes up for a lot of attacking deficiencies individually. Napoli don't have that.

it really depends what they're looking for... they could look to build up the squad over the next couple of years, which would hurt in the short term. Or they could bring in a superstar and continue on.

I don't really trust Rafa on transfers btw. He was a disaster at Liverpool mostly.

Ofcourse but with Rafa i think Napoli view this as a long term project.

Next season is going to be a transitional year for them.They dont exactly need CL money to stay afloat as they're generally a well run club.

They'll sign one good striker i'm sure albeit not as good as Cavani ofcourse.

Would i ? I prefer not to.

But i think they're signing Damiao who has a very good record in Brazil and a lot of players who've come directly from South American leagues have fared well in Serie A.
