Exactly. He was overrated as hell. The hype around him now has gone up even more since he's gone to Madrid... ridiculous. I'd be surprised if Madrid fans don't start calling for his head at the end of the season. He doesn't have age on his side, and he's not as good as they claim him to be.

But Fiorentina's first offer of 3 mio Euros was an insult. Moreover, Basel have no real need to sell, and he's pretty important for the team, too.

BTW, as of now it seems that Valentin Stocker will stay at Basel, too.

Their debt is manageable though, the banks don't care as long as money is coming in.

Why do you think it never effected Man Yoo when they had like 900m debt lol? because they had like 300m+ coming in every year.

The sort of debt small clubs get is different because they can't get the revenue to subsidise it.

And yeah it would be a successful summer for them, but they are not winning the CL until they learn to press again.
