Infinity Ward are back together lol. They are called Respawn Entertainment and they made Titanfall.

Also CoD 4 being the pinnacle and a new version of that is all that's needed is a myth.

All the following CoDs are basically CoD 4 reskins and rehashes, the reason CoD 4 gets all the love is because it was the original of the formula.

It was new at the time but now the game has been reskinned so many times over it doesn't have the same impact.

I could almost guarantee that an updated CoD 4 on ps4 would be dead in 2 months max, things just change over time and it wouldn't have anywhere near the same impact.

It's not just about the latter games being rehashed. They completely ruined them. Took out the good bits and put in things which were awful.

They made the games over complicated. COD4 was simple and it was about having fun where no one had an advantage over anyone else and people actually played with skill. The maps were amazing as well. After that, they started adding perks and shit which ruined the whole experience.

They can never give out another COD4 for the reason they are beyond help. They need to reboot it.

Agreed. They changed little, but often what they did change was shit

Customisation is good. IF, and it's a big f*cking if, IF IT'S BALANCED

If you want to do well you have to spend ages setting up the same overpowered class that everybody else has.

Also, the maps aren't varied enough. And since mw2 the maps have been in decline. They should keep the most popular maps from the previous CODs in the next game tbh

Disagree RG, if they rebooted it quite frankly it would just leave a meh feeling in everyones mouth.

Its been a decade now lol, or close to it everyone has moved on and tried new stuff it just wouldn't be the same.

It's basically the same as someone rebooting a PS2 game last gen, its been that long and so much has changed.

Doubt any COD will ever match up to COD4/MW2. They should try and create something similar to those 2 for next gen.

It could never match up to it because that's what you enjoyed and grew up with.

That's what i'm saying, the memories are so strong that nothing can possibly repeat it.

Even something similar i can guarantee most people won't enjoy because its been done and it can't possibly live up to the nostalgia and memories.

l had some issues with the weapon balancing.. But man, those maps were god tier.

l could play Tower of Power, team slayer all shot guns on ascension locally with 7 friends for all of eternity. That never ever ever got old. l wish everyone was still around to play it Sad

If the film ever happens, it is likely to be based on the first game.

I would probably expect the Rapture story Freeza.

Both should write themselves and be 10/10 films though.

It all depends on Assassin's Creed and Warcraft though, hope they do well, I would love more good (or at least one) video game movie.

Max Payne was the perfect game to make a great movie from but they unbelievably screwed it up. I actually never saw it after seeing the immensely negative reviews from fans and critics. Read the plot in Wikipedia later and nearly cried Laughing

BioShock movie was on full sail at one point. The director of the Pirate Of The Caribbean series was supposed to direct it but he left the project to make the Pirates sequels. Ken Levine did not agree with the vision the new director had and he cancelled it. Seems like the movie is alive again.
