Albiol
Leon
Garay
Canales
Lopez
Another book of hypocrisy and deceit in the world of Perez. No wonder he is a joke in Espana outside Real Madrid.
lol So we aren't allowed to sign players that play in Spain now? Wut?
It's obvious we don't sign the Top players from other clubs in Spain.
Young talents that wouldn't cost much or cheap squad players seem like fair game to me.
The most high profile signing we got out of that list you posted is probably Albiol LMAO

Re: Officially confirmed: Mario Götze is joining Bayern Munich next season
The main reasons i mentioned false 9 is because....
1. He's played there quite a bit recently for both Germany and Dortmund
2. If he plays on the wing or AM it means Kroos or Muller being benched and i can't see that
3. He is apparently Pep's no 1 choice signing and i'd thought that would be the one who is fulcrum of the attack
How ever i do agree with what Futbol said.

Pep always said his ideal team includes a Kluivert-like centerforward. That's why he spent € 70 million on Ibrahimovic in the first place. Pep even showed interest in Gomez when he was still at Barca, surprise, surprise. Gomez recently revealed that.
Messi turning into a false 9 happened out of necessity. He wanted to play through the middle. To fit Busquets, Xavi, Iniesta and Messi in a team, false 9 was the only option. But it's not optimal (not anymore, teams in Europe have adapted, centerbacks aren't brainlessly tracking Messi until the halfway line anymore like Vidic did in a CL final). Against 4-2-3-1 (which 99 % of Europe is using) it means the false 9 will be crowded out by 2 DMs and 2 CBs. The best examples are the Milan games this year. After the first leg what did Barca do? They played Villa infront of Messi to block the centerbacks from stepping up and closing down Messi which gave him that extra bit of space. Messi might be the best player of all time yet even he struggles in that false 9 system against proper opposition with no striking support whatsoever. Just watch his games against Real Madrid. Götze would be totally lost.
If you pay attention Pep last season introduced 3-4-3 to have an extra man upfront on Messi's side. Be it Fabregas as a "false 10" behind Messi or Sanchez as a proper 9 infront of Messi. Pep acknowledged that 4-3-3 false 9 has been found out. In the past few weeks (since Milan) Tito also reverted back to the asymmetrical 4-3-3 where the leftback stays back and Alves practically plays as a winger on his own so that Villa can play centrally.
With all this in mind it seems highly unlikely to me that Pep would now go and try to emulate the Barcelona from 2010 which he himself tried to change and evolve.

Re: Officially confirmed: Mario Götze is joining Bayern Munich next season
I don't get the negative fuss. Let's look at the matter from rational point of view...
Bayern is already too strong for BVB. Signing Götze won't make an already strong team much stronger, at least, short term.
On the other hand, Dortmund will get 37 mio Götze money+40 mio CL money+ 20-30mio Lewandowski money. Yeah, Klopp will have a war chest of almost 100mio € at his disposal next summer.
Possible investations: Isco+Dzeko. They could sign a backup CB and another right winger/backup forward and still have a surplus of money. Bundesliga would get more interesting with Bayern and BVB having new players with new tactics and challenges.
Bayern on the other hand will bench one of their first teamers for Götze. You can't play more than 11 players no matter how good they are.
All in all, it's good for Bundesliga big time. People who rant here with their outdated romantism in footy don't know shit.

I think BVB should seriously consider improving the contracts of key players on their squad.
Sure signing new players is cool and all but if they seriously want to contend for stuff they need to make sure what is left of their core stays.

They could use the surplus to improve their contracts. Still, 100m is lots of money for BVB. They've got scouts unlike Bayern who buy everyone around for inflated pricesZealous wrote:Soul Bro

Kagawa, Sahin and Götze didn't even cost them 5 millions.

Wow....more learning to do and great from futbol I always thought Pep's idea for the false 9...never thought it wasnt and just became out of nature evolution....
Then Pep really does have an ideal setup in Bayern though next season since he has players to play both real and false 9 or whatever
What do u think Barca should do then futbol if it is not ideal and has been countered?

Re: Officially confirmed: Mario Götze is joining Bayern Munich next season
Really disappointing news for the league. They arent going to find a better talent than Goetze in the coming years. The timing of this news is excellent as well.
Re: Officially confirmed: Mario Götze is joining Bayern Munich next season
Looks like Mario Götze really wanted to go to Bayern. I just read in Spox that according to Sport Bild, Götze refused a deal with 20 mio Euros/year that ManCity offered him in March 2013 as he prefered to sign up with Bayern who "only" offer him about half what ManCity offered.

BOTH RVP and Goetze have turned down city for bigger clubs and taking less money as well. City still not with the big boys

Dortmund must do to other Bundesliga clubs what Bayern do to them, now lets raid Hermann, Kevin Rolland, Sung, Rode and Pizarro from their respective clubs

Re: Officially confirmed: Mario Götze is joining Bayern Munich next season
By the way, Mario Götze tried to negotiate an exit clause into his Bayern contract, too, but Bayern outright refused. According to KHR, no Bayern player has an exit clause in his contracts.

LOL do people actually believe City offered Götze 20m Eruros a year?
I know it is easy to believe these kinda shit when it comes to rich clubs like Chelsea, City, etc. But people should use their head, think about it 20m euro is more then what two of the best footballers in the world makes CR7 and Messi. Also what would make Götze so attractive to City? he is a great talent but to make him such madness deal is not, considering there are arguably equal talents like Isco for example imo.
Bayern Munich values Götze much more then any other club. The Germans think way much more of Götze then outsiders, they consider him once in a generation talent. Bayern have been known to want the best German players, as recently going after Neuer from their rival Schalke. So only natural for them to pursue Götze and entice him by paying him 10m+ Euro a year.
