Donati has been great in the U21 tourney, best out of the inter backline for Italy, but I'm not sure if he's any good against the big boys though
Selling him for 3 mil is ridiculous I feel, saying that he's not gonna play anyways with inter anytime soon so it was bound to happen

belfodil is a good deal i think, he is a striker not a trequartista. it is sad however to see cassano leave, i like him. but if this transfer will make me not see silvestre in defence, i have no problem.
selling donati is ridiculous really, i dont know him but i keep hearing he's good.
i hope we keep our good youngsters (benassi, duncan, caldriola, donati, longo ...)

inter's transfer policy sucks!

it seems as if the team of 09-10 is simply a dream now,

why don't we follow the same transfer policies that we had from 2007-09??

it seems as if the treble win had an adverse effect?

Normally when teams win the three top competitions, they are not only financially rewarded by prize/tv rights $$$ but also more following, and larger fan base to stimulate more business and better revenue.

But in case of inter, it all went downhill after that... i wonder why

In theory that should be the case but for us we built that team by taking massive amounts of debt. Unlike Barca, Madrid and the top EPL teams we dont generate enough revenues even our wage bill so if we want to compete with the rich boys we have to take debt. Before the triple Moratti would have done anything for a CL title, but since that itch was cured it was time to fix our financial situation, lower the debt and the wage bill, and focus our resources on building a new stadium which is a long term investment

i dont see that we lowered our bill these days, we offered our old players long term contracts that cannot be matched anywhere else, we were forced to release lucio, julio, sneijder (somehow), bcz of their overrated wages, and now we are still stuck with stanko, chivu, milito...

Inter Spending 2009-10 (Treble season): Total spending 89 Mil Euro (Eto, Milito, Sneijder, Tiago Motta) ... Total transfer Income 97 Mil Euro (Ibrahimovic , Acquafresca, Bonucci) , so a Total net Profit , So the argument about Debt to build that squad is Kind of weak... debt was taken, but we also sold existing players in good price.

In 2010-11 Transfer spending was only 34.5 Mil (Andrea Ranocchia, Pazzini , Mariga) , and our total Income was 67.1 MIL!!!!! (Balotelli, Mourinho, Quaresma, Burdisso) .. so AGAIN, we made profit in the transfer market!! and debt debate is not too relevant here.

We have no strong excuse for how our club has fallen to such low levels! especially when we have actually made profit in the transfer windows sorrounding our Treble season!

there is no reason why we should not Mega sale this summer! to get 3-4 Top level players!

We sold a 19 year old over rated penalty specialist for 30m, replaced and under performing kid with the hottest midfield prospect in Europe, and sold an almost 24 year old Serie B player for 3m. Such a fail

You sold a 19 year old who is now the starter of the national team, one of the top youngsters in Europe, and someone who is currently scoring goals for your rivals.

You sold a player who is well on his way to becoming a Liverpool legend who in a half of a season notched up double digit assists and could become key to bringing Liverpool to the CL.

You then sold a key pillar of the U-21 national team who will be a national team starter in the future for a measly sum of 3 mil.

Yes it is a big fail.

I really have to agree with this, although if the figure for balotelli was 30M then it was pretty good considering he DID NOT want to be here, even though I would've wanted him here.

Coutinho is phenomenal and has been for a long time and there was no excuse for selling him especially considering we could've used him.

and Donati may be 23 years old but he's looking like one of the best RB we would've had and he's looking really promising considering

not to mention we've sold Destro and Santon as well.

Destro is the only youngster we should have kept and thats not because of his abilities (he's good not great) but because of our aging front line. As for Balo, he failed at City and was sold for 10m less to milan where more than half his goals are penalties. And considering the fact that he makes the headlines for the wrong reasons more often than not the 30m were a steel.

Coutinho was never gonna work for us, but hey, at least its not as bad as Juvi selling Terry Henry to arsenal for peanuts :lol:at least we replaced him with a more talented player who can actually contribute to the team.

As for Donati, he's 24 FFS, hardly a prospect, and the fact that he was good in one tournament playing against 20 year olds doesnt change the fact that he's mediocre.

Theory Henry was on loan at Juve at didnt fit in behind Del Piero and our star studded attack.

Destro and Santon were massive fails as well. Although 30 mil for Balo was a good trade especially since he didnt want to stay.

Coutinho never was given a chance with Inter which is the managements fault.

And zizzle defenders mature at an older age than attackers did 24 is still a young age

Realistic Shopping list for next season - Page 6 Empty Re: Realistic Shopping list for next season

Post by zizzle Fri Jun 21, 2013 8:13 pm

what the hell are you talking about man ? obviously your bias is getting to your head. Destro was considered a flop for Roma until he resurrected his season with 3 goals against us in the Coppa, his season was average at best. And who did we replace him with ? that's right, Palacio, a guy who banged 22 goals for us. Such a fail. This is like Acquafresca all over again, we sold him and everyone went bananas just because he's a young player, well, not every young player is something special but i guess you havnt been following football long enough to know that.

Which brings us to Santon. If you take out the first 2 months of his career then he would have done nothing to earn that reputation. He got once chance after the other at Inter and he was always the worst on the field, we loaned him out for half a season and he was bad for Cesena as well. He is now playing for a mid table EPL team and from what i heard he's good but is far from the next Maldini he was made out to be.

As for Countinho, sure that was a mistake, but we sold him to buy a better and more suitable prospect so its hardly a fail

and dont give me the crap about defenders mature late, that argument would be valid if Donate had a history of promising performances. Ronochia is a promosing defender who could mature into a WC player, Donati who is one and a half years younger isnt. Most of us only heard about him in the last couple of weeks and doing well against 20 year olds isnt the same as playing in Serie A
