Coutinho vs. Neymar

Do those of you who are knocking Neymar for scoring goals in Brazil actually watch any of his games (let alone any Liga do Brasil games)? Or are you just watching his statistics and making the claim that scoring in Brazil should count for nothing? Not to mention the fact that Neymar has excellent passing and vision; while he is a goal scoring threat, he can actually create as well (something y'all would know if you actually watched him play).

Coutinho, Neymar and Oscar have nothing in common. They're all different type of players.

While both Coutinho and Downing were playing on the wing. Therefore Rodgers felt Downing brought more to the team. That would be why he took Coutinho off.

Except they weren't.

Downing's role is to cover Glen Johnson when Glen attacks. He's not supposed to bring anything to the table in terms of attacking. Which is what pisses me off and why I have an agenda against him. You could see the difference the team had when Sturridge was shifted on the right hand side.

Coutinho simply had a poor game. How does one bad game make him a poor player? I fail to recognise what Oscar did in the game not including that headed goal, his goal definitely overshadowed his performance...

The funny thing was, it wasn't even a good game from Oscar, yet he was miles better than Coutinho.

Also, your tactical Genius has made Oscar poor by moving him out wide.

If you want to see Oscar in full flight, go watch when RDM was manager.

How was he miles better? They were both useless lol... Oscar just scored a goal and he's automatically turned that into his favour with modern day knee-jerkers saying he's had a good game. He didn't. Coutinho didn't. Move on.

Oscar even under his role middle for RDM was hardly influencing anything as most of his praise comes from his European Wondergoals. Mata and Hazard have far more influence in games then him. Chelsea fans will obviously give me unquantifiable justifications that he "quietly" makes the frontline tick and all that bullshit yet he hasn't lived up to all the hype he received pre-move. He is played our wide since he will receive more space to draw out the markers while cutting in to provide lateral passes to which he excels at.

Coutinho was subbed off for Sturridge since we needed a more direct threat in front of goal to which Coutinho does not provide. Downing is useless yet his only positive is him tracking back for Johnson along with their link-up play. Causation, correlation etc doesn't work.

Funny thing is he was one of our best players in the first half and actually does something with the ball unlike Oscar relying on a Lucas-Agger brainfart not covering their post.

More proven than Neymar? Obviously not. Yet I'd have Cou over Oscar without any hesitation, despite them being completely different players.
