Mail's London 2012 XI: Cech; Ivanovic Caulker Luiz Cole; Ramires Lampard; Zaha Mata Bale; Defoe.

Caulker and Luiz over Koscielny, Lampard over Arteta, Zaha over Walcott and Defoe over van Persie (he still counts, right?)
Not a very good selection there.

If it's based on talent then
If it's based on this season's form then it deserves an even bigger
My London XI 2012 based on talent:
I haven't watched enough of both teams to make a starting 11 based on form but it still surely would be better than theirs.

Re: Arsenal Lobby
Happy New Year folks.
In light of the recent disappointing performance ...
Doom & Gloom Scenario for January (aka Things At Least Won't be This Bad All at Once, So Let's Have Some Gallows Humor)
Club sells Walcott and Sagna for disappointingly low fees (£5m each), but doesn't offload Chamakh, Arshavin, Santos, or Gervinho. Signs no one. Gives Gervinho a new deal with pay increase. Loses every other January match.
What happens then? Wenger gets the sack, and instead of bringing in Pep Guardiola the club end up with Harry Redknapp, who's already gotten the sack at QPR by this point too ... after all, 'Arry is a boyhood Gooner! Come June, we end up with inexplicable signings like Roque Santa Cruz and Joey Barton.
... suddenly the more feasible prospect of finishing 4th, keeping Wenger as manager indefinitely, and making a few seemingly "modest" buys in January & the summer doesn't seem so bad, eh?

somewhat sensible lol.com article..
May be Soton game happened for the good.. We were on a 4 game winning row, but it was obvious that previous problems were persisting.. Hopefully this game forces Wenger and the club to do something in the transfer window.. Another unconvincing win would have covered our deficiencies further till the next game..

Re: Arsenal Lobby
Wenger – Arsenal will not rotate for Swansea FA Cup game
So what Wenger is trying to say is, Ramsey needs more playing time or he will leave us.
“We play at Swansea; it’s a difficult tie, but of course we want to come out on top,” he maintains. “The FA Cup is something special because it is exciting, it is watched all over the world.
“It has a special history in England and I have always respected that. I am always sad when we don’t win it or when we go out. We will put our maximum effort in on Sunday to win the game.
“It’s the first round we come in, so people will speculate a lot about who will win it in the end. To have a chance to do that, you just need to get through the first round.”
“I just play the team that I think has the best chance of winning the game, without considering any rotational desire, unless I think one or two players need a breather,”
“It will not be based on the fact that it’s purely rotational.”
So what Wenger is trying to say is, Ramsey needs more playing time or he will leave us.
