Who they need to buy ?
Adrian and one of Capoue/Sissoko..I would see Isco as a luxury buy and dont really like the idea of playing Cazorla outwide.
Who they will buy ?
Henry on loan and Huntelaar.

@OP:
* Fullback cover for Gibbs. Sell Santos.
* Fullback cover for Sagna as he will leave too.
* Midfield cover for that chap who is 10 days away.
* Winger cover for Walcott as he will leave too.
* Forward cover for Giroud. Chamakh, Ju Park and Bendtner leave.
* Sell Arshavin, Gervais, Denilson, Frimpong, ....
The squad is riddled with problems. Where do you start when you need a complete overhaul top-down?

50m? More likely is 15m.
Anyway, I would consider Capoue. But is he really going to turn around the season? At his age and stage in career, I highly doubt it. He would help though for sure.

Sign:
Cavani - 35-40 milion
Nani - 20 milion
Wanyama/Sissoko/Capoue: 15-20 milion
Total expenditure: 75 milion
Sell:
Gervinho: 3 milion
Frimpong: 2 milion
Release Chamakh, Squilaci, Bendtner, Park, etc.
Keep Santos as no one will pay anything for him and he can be a decent backup to Gibbs.
If a good offer comes for Giroud, Podolski or Arteta should be considered. (10 milion aprox).
Total sales: 15 milion
Net expenditure: 60 milion.
Play:
Scezny
Sagna Kosc Verm Gibbs
----Wanyama -- Wilshere
Walcott -- Cazorla -- Nani
--------------Cavani
Sign Pep as a manger. Win the premier league.
The problem is that I think Nani aside, the others won't be availabe on winter.

Re: *Transfers special* Which players should Arsenal sell and buy in January?
Would you play Coq as a lone holding midfielder? I dont think I would.
Capoue on the other hand I would.
Part of the problem is as good as Arteta is, he has the same issues as Alonso. Cant defend on his own and you have to play someone around him. However, Arteta doesnt advance with the ball so the other player obviously has to and then leaves Arteta alone on counter attacks.
A midfielder with offence and defence skill that can play the holding midfield role to me, is an underrated thing in todays game.
All these 4231's are automatically flawed because you have 2 players doing the job of 1.

Re: *Transfers special* Which players should Arsenal sell and buy in January?
Wenegr will not buy, by We can dream.
GoalKeeper – Butland
A defender – Mbiwa/Sakho
Fellaini or Strootman/Wanyama/
Ben Arfa/Isco (Would prefer ban Arfa) Sorry Mole, EPL proven.
Strikers – Huntellar-----Ba. Mole made me a believer of Ba.
I rather have Ba, our system dose not fit Llorente.
Out
Ramsey Loan.
Chamakh sell.
Arshavin sell.
Diaby can leave for free.
Gervinho can gtfo.
Djoruo
Bendtner gtfo.

Why would Arsenal want to sign Ba? He isn't good enough. Not a big improvement (if any) over Giroud or Podolski.

Re: *Transfers special* Which players should Arsenal sell and buy in January?
In terms of strikers, would Arsenal want someone offers more than just goals? Huntelaar doesn't really offer much aside from goals and he's 30 next year. Plus he doesn't have a good record with top teams.
Ba is on a similar level to Giroud.

Re: *Transfers special* Which players should Arsenal sell and buy in January?
You can't afford Ben Arfa let's be real here lol....
IN: Capoue, Ba, Mbiwa
Look like this....
I can also see a GK being a possibility but i think it might be a bit on the back burner for now.
3 signings that would genuinely strengthen Arsenal and also not really costing a great deal in the process.
They are not going to buy Isco, Cavani etc etc lol let's be realistic.
Aye he's crap only RVP and Rooney have scored more goals in the PL over last 2 years....
Shite player.

Re: *Transfers special* Which players should Arsenal sell and buy in January?
I think the only reason people say Ba is on a similar level to Podo and Giroud is because he plays for Newcastle.
The stats and the eye test suggest this season at the very least (the only season all 3 have been in the same league) Ba is the better player. He is without a doubt performing better anyway.

They rejected Milan's bid of €6.5m last summer when he hadnt signed a contract extension yet They were demanding a lot for him IIRC.
But if the outclause fee is true then fair enough.

Re: *Transfers special* Which players should Arsenal sell and buy in January?
I haven't watched a lot of Newcastle games, I admit, but it's not like Ba stands out that much. He seems a better finisher than Giroud (not very difficult).
But on Rooney's, RVP, Aguero, Tevez, etc level?
Are you kidding? To me seems can only head, finish and be big. I wouldn't even consider him if I were Wegner.
(I would if I were Rafa Benitez, but only because CHelsea have no striker).

Re: *Transfers special* Which players should Arsenal sell and buy in January?
Does it matter?
Is Ba is one of the best in the PL (open for debate, not saying he without a doubt it) then who cares? Arsenal play in the PL dont they?
More importantly, if Arsenal need a striker (I dont think they actually do. A forward yes, a striker no) who are they going to get thats better?
Cavani and these names need to be left alone. Do you honestly think Arsenal are going to pay 30m+ for Cavani?

Disagree completely with that...Arteta has shown himself to be a very capable defender this season
Definitely doesn't deserve to be compared to Foulonso

Outscored Aguero and Suarez since they joined the PL....
But yeah it's because it lacks top strikers
The man averages 1 goal every 2 games through out his whole career lol.
Just stop it lol.
He may not be flash but he's a great finisher and knows where the goal is and it's hardly like Arsenal need someone who is Benzema level in link up they need a goalscorer.... Ba scores goals it's simple as that.
Not like he's useless outside the box either.
