Arshavin = Leaving the club

Gervinho = Going to AFCON, used sparingly when returns (As wenger said recently)

I'm taking the Arda Turan rumors with a big grain of salt for now - but it's funny, when I first saw the speculation about AT wanting to leave Atletico a little while back, I thought, "It'd be cool if Arsenal could sign him." If Arshavin and Gerv and/or Walcott go, he's a good choice for an experienced, semi-marquee signing in a wide role. Seems a decent player whenever I've watched, positionally versatile, and contributes defensively.

But I'm not holding my breath on official confirmation.

No but seriously,Chumlum has a point, if Arda signs our front three could line up as this:

Poldi/Ox - Giroud/Walcott - Arda/Gervais

bold - 1st choice, for now atleast

Arda's crosses could be used to devastating effects with Giroud's aerial prowess and Poldi's habit of lurking in the box

Difficult part comes when you have to agree transfer fees with the club.

Arda Turan is exactly the sort of player we need; highly technical and able to create from the flanks. I'm not sure why he would want to leave Atletico at this stage, but if he's a viable options, by all means, let's try and get him.

We should get Adrian, too, while we're there.
