Re: Chelsea sack RDM
My talking about Chelsea sacking AVB disgracefully doesn't seem so off now huh?
Seems they're doing the same to Di Matteo.
This makes me sad though, as RDM was the man to lead Chelsea into obscurity, IMO, and that's where I want them.
Roman ffs

Chelsea have no belief in their coaches... Who would want to coach a team knowing that you will be sacked if you lose a match or two in CL... Don't think Rafa will be any better...

Luck.
Mmmmmm I'm sure you'd be very familiar with the luck that comes with bad referee decisions

Outclassed by an under strength 10 men Chelsea team.
Barely even created chances in that game once JT was sent off.

Re: Chelsea sack RDM
Roberto Di Matteo said:
"It was an honour for me to be appointed manager of a club that I loved playing for and one that is so close to my heart. I am extremely proud of the successes and trophies that we were able to bring to the club in recent months.
“Lifting Chelsea's first Champions League trophy, in Munich, was the best achievement in club history and without doubt the highlight of my career to date, both as a player and manager. It is a memory I will treasure for the rest of my life.
“I have a deep and unreserved passion for Chelsea Football Club and I would like to sincerely thank all of the staff, my players and of course the Chelsea fans, for their tremendous and unconditioned support in the intense time I have been the manager at the Bridge. I wish all of them every success for the rest of the season and beyond.”
Richard Bevan, Chief Executive of the League Managers Association said,
“The LMA shares Roberto’s disappointment following Chelsea's decision to relieve him of his managerial duties. What cannot be questioned is Roberto’s passion for the club and the honesty and integrity he has shown throughout his time in charge. His record of a Champions League title and FA Cup triumph, speaks for itself, and he can be incredibly proud of what he has achieved in such a short space of time. Roberto has received a huge number of messages of support from across the game; from other managers, coaches, administrators at other clubs, Chelsea supporters and the Chelsea players themselves. I know he is extremely appreciative of receiving so much support and solidarity, and it demonstrates the high regard and respect that those in the game have for Roberto.”

Re: Chelsea sack RDM
Just saw this and heard of the news really. I know many don't find it shocking but I truly think it is. You'd think the man who led them to their greatest ever moment would at least get a full season . I really didn't think he should of been sacked. I just wish him the best of luck where ever he goes .
One question though. I know they've appointed Benitez as the interim head coach but why would a top manager be interested in managing a club of insecurity??? I know lots of manager like challenges but do they like the compensation they receive after also?

Chelsea are a shambles. What kinda football club is this. Guy just win them the cl and fa cup and his team were going through a blip, like they usually do this time of the year. He was doing well and had chelsea playing some good football this season. Oh well....not that I give a sh**

RDM, classy to the end.
Feel really sorry for the guy, I mean what else can you do to not get sacked at Chelsea?

In 6 years at Liverpool Benitez won the CL and the FA Cup. Robbie won that for us in half a season.

He rejected them to go to West Brom. lol
Said there was no stability and there is no safety to suggest that he's spot is guaranteed long term... sound familiar?
