My mate at school told me RDM was sacked earlier today.
I was like: Yeaaah sure, and pigs can fly.

Later today I checked BBC for some news and couldn't help myself from laughing my ass off when I saw RDM sacking was official.

Can only feel for Chelsea fans, to have such an ignorant owner and board is just :facepalm:

I don't like the "If" and "Luck" talk.

What some people are basically saying is if X player scored the outcome would have been different.

No sh*t ffs if I bought a Pagani Zonda then I would be driving a Pagani Zonda.

If I typed in goal.com instead of google.com I would be surfing goal.com

If Nedved came out of retirement and scored 600 goals this season chances are we'd win the scudetto.

The only thing I like about Chelsea owner, he wants to win, I wish our owners were half as ambitious as him.

I will say this...Chelsea beating Napoli was not down to luck. They won 4-1 in that second leg after all so how can Napoli not showing up = Chelsea were lucky to beat them? Makes no sense.

As for the win over Barca, that was also not down to luck. That was just pure grit and balls. I personally think there was nothing flukey about Ramires' awesome dink over Valdes.

If you want to buy a pagani Zonda and you have the money, you buy it. If you don't buy it, unless you suffer an accident going to the shop, there was no luck involved.

On the other hand, shooting a penalty kick just 5 cm higher is influenced by a random factor, which we can call luck. And football has plenty of it. There's nothing wrong in admitting you won a competition thanks to luck when you weren't by far the best team in it. With a different format that is less luck based (league) Chelsea would have had no chance.

I fail to see how that's luck. That's missing the goal, going off target or whatever you want to call it. The way in which he made contact with the ball failed to direct it on target, simple.

Now if the ball hit the post, bounced off of the goalkeepers back and hit the post again then you might have a case. But hitting the post it not luck it's off target.

Not to mention having referee decisions on your way (Benfica) and being completely humbled by Bayern but scoring in one of the few chances you have.

The sad thing is that you can admit it when even Chelsea board considers Chelsea won it by pure luck. Otherwise they wouldn't have let go their biggest star of the CL (Drogba) and sacked the coach that gave them their only CL after years.

Drogba was going to be let go whether we won the CL or not. Players over the age of 30 aren't offered more than a 1 year contract. New policy. He didn't want that. He wanted 2 years. Case closed. Had nothing whatsoever to do with the CL campaign whether it was successful or not. Talks had been going on for months ffs :facepalm:

No, it's actually just extremely hard to replicate the exact same force and hitting the ball at the same angle from the same distance.

Hitting the post from the penalty spot is not bad luck, it's a miss. Why can't you accept that?
