La Liga TV rights discrepancies

ridiculous ,no wonder it is staying as a two horse race

I don't get it, thought this was common knowledge?

EPL earn £1.782 billion from TV rights. Half of which (£891 million) is divided among all 20 Premier League clubs.

La Liga gets £540 million. Thats a huge difference and therefore cannot be compared in any respect.

Divided equally among all teams Valencia would be getting less than what it is now, so your hardly in a position to talk.

TV Rights isn't the reason why most La Liga teams are doing poorly, it's mismanagement and poor financial planning plain and simple.

I agree smaller teams should have a bigger percentage but I also belive that La Liga needs to sort its #$%& out and get someone in charge who can fulfill the leagues potential organise proper money for TV rights among other things.

As it stand Real Madrid organise thier own TV rights and as such are entitled to whatever money they get.

Blame La Liga not Real Madrid and Barcelona.

I'm not saying lend it equally throught the league. Just the 2nd tier teams below Barca and Real.

We might lift our debt faster that way.

I think they're waiting for Barca and Madrid's contract to finish before signing some kind of deal. Should be about 2014, I think.

It's the way la liga is ran that is at issue. The league is far from fulfulling its potential, and quite frankly there is a lot to work with.

Any passionate of the game would enjoy watching teams like Villarreal or valencia play, but those teams arent properly marketed

Because clubs in La Liga are poorly managed fiancially and are using the T.V. money as an excuse of why they are doing so poorly fiancially.

Take a look at recently relegated Deportivo and see the problems they are in because of poor management.

I agree with that as well, Atletico are the 3rd highest-earners, over the past years have had some world class players in the likes of Aguero, Forlan, De Gea, etc, and what do they have to show for that? A UEFA Cup that they tied every game of the way to win?

As it stands Perez is trying to get the start times changed much in line with the way EPL does it in order to reach a wider audience and promote the league better. But he has been refused half a dozen times so far.

Literally the people running La Liga are a bunch of tools who would be just as useful in coffin 6ft under.

They can't even keep Aguero anymore, fgs.


We even had to sell our best.

Albiol, Silva, Villa, are the stars we let go just to stay afloat.

They elected Perez as an advisor to help them promote the league and they cant even follow his advices ffs, la liga execs are a bunch of moppets

Are you serious? They can buy players they need rather than more forwards, for a change. They loaned Salvio to Benfica simply because they had filled their quota of South American players, and Salvio excelled. They could stick with a manager for more than half a season. They could scout some serious talent. Villareal's budget is probably 1/3 of Atletico's and yet they are so so much better. Atletico's management is stupid, as simple as that is.

Atletico has too much unflfilled potential.

if they sell aguero and use that money to buy a CF, an enganche, and a CM they are gonna do fine.

It's the way the management behaves.

Look at Sevilla from 05-08. They had a very limited budget but were still able to compete at domestic level and in europe. The management then got excited at the recent success and tried to force the club to go to a level they were not ready for and they have been on a downward slope ever since.
If they continue at this rate, they could end up like Deportivo.

If the management of each club are notable to have substantial control of the fiances they have, I could only imagine the problems if they were giving more money.

I'm not saying they shouldn't have it, but they need to pove that they can control the fiances at teir club before recieving more money.

Then, how come Villareal don't have a cup then?

Europa's all they can do for now. You guys expect us or Atleti to beat you guys in the league and/or the CL?
