Re: Transfer Rumors
As per Twitter both the deals are very close now.
In case of Alexis Sanchez it is E 27M (fixed) + 13M (variables). Only the discussion on variables is not fully wrapped up yet. Manchester City has pulled out of the race. The official reason is they thought he was too costly ( can you believe it ) but I think it's actually about A.Sanchez putting his foot down and saying he wants to move to Barcelona only.
In case of Cesc Fabregas it is E 35M (fixed) + unknown (variables). The main debates now are regarding the means of payment.
So if the two deals go through I think we will have to start a widespread sale to stay within our budget. Bojan would be the first to go for E10M as reported.
Wait a minute we are already breaking even. E62M to spend at the moment and we get E10M for Bojan and E8M for Ibrahimovic. So we have a net expenditure of E44M which is almost our full budget. We can throw in another E2M for Kiko as well. However if we want to make any more purchases such as CB then we will have to do some more selling.

`Barcelona source: "There's not yet a deal on Alexis Sanchez. We've made a final offer and are now waiting for the answer of Udinese." [efe]
"last offer was 26M cash + 11M Variables!!"
-----------------------
`Gino Pozzo (owner Udinese):
"The talks with Barcelona on Sanchez continue. We'll see, it's quite complex. He could still stay."
"We only talk with Barcelona. We never opened talks with Man City because the boy only wants to join Barcelona."
"Jeffren included in the deal? We have not yet talked to him."

Re: Transfer Rumors
Roberto Mancini has confirmed that he spoke to A.Sanchez but after finding out that the player wanted to go to Barcelona only, he decided not to pursue the matter any more.
Also Jeffren has made it clear he will not be part of this deal.

Barcelona to announce signings of Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas & Udinese's Alexis Sanchez on Friday - report
Barcelona to announce signings of Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas & Udinese's Alexis Sanchez on Friday - report
Goal.com
Goal.com
Barcelona plan to announce the arrivals of Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas and Udinese forward Alexis Sanchez before the weekend, according to a report from Ona FM.
The Catalan club have been tracking the duo for several weeks now, but their reluctance to meet the players' price-tags have so far prevented a deal from happening.
However, Spanish sources suggest that significant progress in the negotiations has been made in the last days, which could see both Fabregas and Sanchez seal switches to Barcelona in the next 48 hours.
After having an initial offer of €30 million for Fabregas rejected by Arsenal, Barcelona reportedly decided to up the stakes and add in €5m more, and it is believed the Premier League side have agreed with the new proposal.
Meanwhile, the Champions League holders appeared to have strong competition from Manchester City for Sanchez's signature, but with the Citizens deciding not to follow up their interest in the Chilean, the road is now clear for the La Liga champions to land the 22-year-old.

Re: Transfer Rumors
Barcelona president Sandro Rosell is reportedly set to confirm the signing of Chile and Udinese star Alexis Sanchez in Argentina, taking advantage of an invitation to the opening ceremony of the Copa America on Friday.
Triunfo and La Tercera report that, following Roja coach Claudio Borghi's refusal to let Sanchez leave the national team camp to complete a €40 million transfer, the Barca chief will now travel across the Atlantic in order to put an end to the drawn-out negotiations.
Rosell will attend Argentina's first match with Bolivia in La Plata this Friday, and will then travel to the Chile training camp in order to formally agree terms with the 22-year-old striker.
Barca were forced into action when Borghi flatly ruled out any prospect of his star travelling across the Atlantic to meet with officials in the Spanish club. "Alexis cannot now leave. The deadline was Sunday," he told local press earlier in the week.
Chile kick off their Copa America campaign against Mexico in Group C, before facing Uruguay and Peru in the first round of next month's competition.

Re: Transfer Rumors
The team that won CL twice in the last three years was composed mostly of our la masia talent. There's no wonder other teams(espescially hungry EPL teams who haven't won much-*cough* Arsenal, now Chelsea*cough*), want to steal our talents from right under our nose while we can't do anything about it.

Where you getting your info from?
The Sanchez deal seems close and is just a matter time, as for the Fabregas deal i hope Arsenal stand thier ground and Barca decide to use some of the money to buy a CB and leave the rest of the money for next summer's budget or pay off some of the debt.

Re: Transfer Rumors
Sky Sports News understands that Real Madrid could lodge a rival bid for Arsenal captain and long-term!!
The Spanish midfielder has been linked with a return to his homeland for some time, having progressed through the youth ranks at Barca before joining the Gunners at the start of his senior career.
A move back to Camp Nou had appeared the most likely scenario if Arsenal did decide to let the 24-year-old leave, but the two clubs have never been able to agree on a fee.
Reports surfaced last week that Barcelona had been in contact, but club president Sandro Rosell stated that he would not pay over the odds for Fabregas and actually valued the player as cheaper than 12 months ago.
Spain-based journalist Graham Hunter has now told Sky Sports News that Real Madrid have made an approach to Arsenal regarding Fabregas.
It is understood that Real value the player at €50million (£45m), which is far closer to Arsenal's asking price than Barcelona have reached.
Considering Fabregas' close links to Barca and the fact the two Spanish clubs are such fierce adversaries, it is unclear whether Real would be successful in luring the midfielder to the Santiago Bernabeu.
But he is a favourite of the board at Real and head coach Jose Mourinho, who wields substantial power over transfers, is also an admirer of Fabregas' qualities.
Madrid relied heavily on Xabi Alonso to influence matches in the centre of the field last season and view Fabregas as somebody who could make a big difference.
