I have a question for you re Barca's squad (I'm a Real madrid fan, but also a huge selecciones fan).

I see that Sanchez is the main siging for next year plus Thaigo and Fontas getting promoted. I'm also assuming given Arsenal insistence at 45M, that Cesc is not coming for another year.

So my question is about fullbacks? Is it enough with Puyol, Pique and Fontas plus Abidal, Mascherano and Busquets in emergencies or is Milito likely staying with club? I don't see any quality CBs available so is this an area of concern with Puyol's health worries and advancing age?

No it is'nt enough, which is why the majority of the Barca section want a CB over Cesc, i myself dont want Cesc full stop but thats a story for another day.

Also as for Puyol's advancing age it's worrying yes because i dont see anyone on the horizon who can truly replace him. Talent maybe he could be replaced but i really am not seeing anyone who will replace Puyol in a mental and physical level etc etc

Which is why i consider Puyol's replacement a more pressing issue than Xavi's replacement and Milito will go the less said about him the better lol.

Fans think of the centerback as an issue, but Pep thinks that between 2 starters, a very good CB in Abidal, Mascherano and Fontas we're set. 5 players for 2 positions, even if two of them could also play another position.

It all depends on how Fontas performs. I don’t really think that most of us thought Pique will end up playing world class football when we signed him.
And as Alfred said we have 5 players suitable for the position. Masch and Busch did great most of the times they had to cover back there.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we only sign 2 players this season including Kiko

Masche will play as CB in many games. He can play without problems on that position against short players.

I think it's a good idea. La Liga may have been better for him but I think Jeffren is combative enough to cut it in the EPL. Injuries could be a problem though. Going to a team like Bolton means he should get enough playing time and this will give us some reason to watch more of Bolton next season. I hope we put a buy back clause because this kid seems to have the determination to shine.

Not sure why Jonathan isnt gone yet, I thought a deal to send him to Zaragoza was close to being done and nothing
