Sunderland paid £12m for Gyan and they recouped all off it when he transferred to Al-Ain.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumour Thread Pt. 7
Lyon goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is likely to remain with the Ligue 1 club rather than move to Tottenham, according to Bernard Lacombe.
Lacombe, who serves as special advisor to Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas, reckons the 25-year-old is "less hot" for a transfer to White Hart Lane now the French season is under way.
But he admits things could change if Spurs sell Luka Modric to Real Madrid and then return to Lyon with an improved offer for the France shot-stopper.
Lacombe told French radio station RMC regarding Lloris: "He should stay at Lyon and not join Tottenham.
"Until the transfer window closes, you never know. If Modric goes to Madrid, things may move forward.
Valuation
"But as he has started the Championship, Hugo is less hot to leave. He wants to continue at Lyon.
"We hope so, unless there is a very important proposal for him and for us. Their (Tottenham's) proposal was well below our valuation for our goalkeeper."
Lyon, meanwhile, have also ruled out the possibility of letting Clement Grenier move to Nice after Yoann Gourcuff was sidelined for up to three months with a knee injury.
But the club admit defender Aly Cissokho, who has in the past been linked with Newcastle United among a host of Premier League clubs, could leave.
If the 24-year-old does move on, Lyon would look to sign Nice's Fabian Monzon in a swap deal for Jeremy Pied.
Lacombe said: "There is a good chance for Aly to leave. If Aly leaves, we could hire Fabian Monzon to replace him."

QPR have sh*t the bed with these signings.
Nelsen, Dawson, Carvalho
Are they still linked with Gallas too? I guess not but it really wouldn't surprise me. Combined age of 131

Re: Summer Transfer Rumour Thread Pt. 7
Lyon left-back Aly Cissokho has been the subject of interest from Spanish outfit Valencia and, with an agreement close between the two clubs, the player is ready to move away from the Stade Gerland.
According to Spanish sources, the Mestalla outfit are keen to replace the already departed Jordi Alba and have earmarked Cissokho as their main target.
However, there is a valuation difference between Los Che and Les Gones over the transfer fee of the former Porto defender.
Lyon have set an €8M asking price for the left-back while the Spanish outfit are not ready to offer more than €6.5M for the 24-year-old.

Ze Eduardo? Hahaha I don't understand how Milan have allowed themselves to implode in one transfer window. It's shocking.
Ibra-Cassano to what? Ze Eduardo-Pazzini?
And don't get me started on the midfield and defence.

The Bild newspaper reported Ferguson had made a move for the in-form forward after already securing the transfer of midfielder Shinji Kagawa, who was also on the books of Dortmund.
Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc told Bild: "There have been enquiries from several clubs.
"Our position has not changed since March, Lewandowski still plays at Dortmund."
The club's chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke added: "There were other clubs interested in him.
"I am repeating myself but Lewandowski will play next season for Dortmund."

Milan have had to sell players to try and balance debts.
Juventus are pretty much in line with FFP and minus the new stadium we post profits.
With the return of CL football again we will be in an even better financial situation and being the only club in Italy to own their own stadium helps.
Basically Milan have had to cripple their team to get close to a place Juve are already in.

Still think they will go down, they have just stocked up with shit or overhill the players.
Not impressed at all, Reading, Southampton and West Ham will all finish above them IMO.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumour Thread Pt. 7
Stoke City have made a move for Australian international Harry Kewell.
The former Leeds United and Liverpool midfielder has been spotted at the Clayton Wood training complex this morning.
It is rumoured that the left winger had a meeting with manager Tony Pulis about a possible move to the Britannia Stadium.
The 'chat' apparently only lasted half an hour with Kewell coming away from the training ground looking 'unimpressed` as it is believed Pulis isn't keen on bringing the free agent to the Potteries.
