Inter close in on Santos' Jonathan Moreira

The Brazilian right-back could be on his way to the Italian giants, which could pave the way for Maicon's exit in the summer

Inter have come to an agreement for the transfer of Santos right-back Jonathan Moreira for €5 million, according to Sky Sport24.

The Brazilian defender played an important role in the club's successful campaign in the Copa Libertadores, despite missing the two-legged final through injury.

Jonathan, a right-back who can also operate on the left side of the defence, transferred from Cruzeiro to Santos in December for a fee of €2 million.

Reports of the 25-year-old moving to Inter will certainly fuel suggestions that Maicon is on his way out of the Serie A side, with Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho an admirer of the player's qualities.

i have a good feeling about this ! when we signed maicon he was almost a nobody and look at the way he turned out to be ! if we can repeate this ill be more than happy !
