Official - Inter sign Jonathan
I usually don't call anything official until it's on our website but this is done...Just read an interview after his medical which made it clear.Apparently he signed a 4 year deal...

I think he's on his way out but nothing is sure at this point. The price tag is the main issue...

Re: Official - Inter sign Jonathan
i think it would be the best in inter's interest to offload maicon..
but i cant figure out why inter are going after unproven south american players..every player wont be a hit like hernanes..
surely branca must have some big plans in his head..

Pinzolo: Jonathan joins up with Inter
PINZOLO - Jonathan Cicero Moreira has arrived at the Nerazzurri's hotel in Pinzolo. He will train with Inter - after being granted permission by Santos - while the final bureaucratic details of the deal are completed.

He's going to be a brilliant player

Re: Official - Inter sign Jonathan
MILAN – Now he is officially an Inter player. Brazilian full-back Jonathan Cicero Moreira, class of '86, has been signed from Santos. The final documents have been signed and the contract, which means he will be a Nerazzurri player until 30 June 2015, has been deposited in the offices of the Lega Serie A.
Jonathan, who joined the team at Pinzolo on Wednesday 13 July, is following a personal recovery programme on account of a muscle strain he picked up in his last match for Santos.

Re: Official - Inter sign Jonathan
Maicon will go this season I bet- he's wanted to for a while but inter wanted to keep him.
Without signings?
-------------------Cesar/Viviano--------------
-----------Ranocchia--Lucio--Samuel---------
Nagatomo----Stankovic----Cambiasso---- Jonathan
-----------------------Sneijder (Staying?)------------
----------------Eto'o--------------Pazzini
That's actually a decent line up. Eto'o is freed in his preferred lethal CF role- Pazzo can pick up where he left up. Nagatomo I think would be a great WB due to his stamina and tenacity. Jonathan not so sure but he's supposedly like Maicon so I'd assume so. Stankovic can penetrate + smack some in from distance although I'd prefer a more creative player (Banega?)
I think Inter is actually more suited to 3-4-3 than we'd think.

Hes a rb,why did you put him at the left flank?
And Macion is frakking amazing, selling him will be a huge mistake.

I always do that- Think i've got right left dyslexia. Switch them around.
With Maicon we're talking about a player who at 29 should be at his physical peak- but he's not. He had a bad season- is that just a bad season or is he finished?
He might pick up a bit this season- but he'll never be his best again and the 20m we could get for him would be fantastic business.

dude did you watch him against ecuador?the guy is a physical beast, out running and out-muscling everyone.I think he was just off last season because of injuries and low morale because of the bale incident.I personally rate him higher than alves

Jonathan----------------------------Nagatomo
-----------Zanetti---------Cambiasso---------
Maicon------------Sneijder---------------Eto'o
--------------------Milito---------------------
Would be interesting seeing Maicon without defensive tasks with his only goal running down the line and crossing. On his day Maicon delivers at least 5 useful crosses from RB,if that was all he'd have to do that would be a goal scoring feast for the strikers. He even had three 5+ goal seasons...Could be a great winger.

Re: Official - Inter sign Jonathan
Why are people happy to see Eto'o wasted on the Wings? I know he's been great all season but remember just how lethal he is in CF?
@ Ganso- I haven't seen him- but remember the south american game is less physical than the European one so maybe that advantage wont show as much in Serie A as in the Coppa America.
Although like I said I didn't see it. Still do you not think 20m is very good for him?

Re: Official - Inter sign Jonathan
I am the first to want Eto'o in the center but it's impossible because we have Pazzini/Milito there and Eto'o is also the best winger in our squad.Even under Leo in a 4-4-2 diamond he was a left winger...

But now there's Alvarez? He plays on the wings doesn't he?
And Eto'o Pazzo partnership would be miles better and leave Milito on the bench.

No one will bench both Milito and Pazzini.

Re: Official - Inter sign Jonathan
Maicon would make a poor wing, all he has in common with the typical wing is his crossing, but he cant drible for shit, and he cant take on players in one on ones, he delivers his best crosses when coming from behind and getting the ball at full speed, and as a wing, he wont be able to do that

Didn't say bench them both. I think an Eto'o Pazzo Partnership would be great next season.

Re: Official - Inter sign Jonathan
Gasperini likes width,so it's highly likely that we'll play one striker cause 3-4-1-2 won't cut it IMO...
