Azpilicueta had Ribery in his pocket for just about that whole tie back in the quarters IIRC.

Ribery was fairly average today.

But Ribery created many goalscoring chanes for others.

I never watch Bayern and maybe they played badly today, but the only player that impressed me was Muller and the Lahm guy. Gomez today seemed a Luca Toni without the skills.

one close range he tried to control with his feet but first touch was crap. the ball was knee high.

second one He had chance for first time hit but decided to turn around.

another one he sent a rocket like Ramos

4th one he missed one when cahil got injured (it was called a goal kick)

He was literally invisible in the second half,i thought he was subbed

The one he should have hit first time which was a mis-hit shot from Ribery, and then the one where he destroyed Cahill only to sky it.

And the second one he created out of nothing.

It's quite obvious he made that up because he's butthurt Gomez knocked them out the butthurt from all of them is there for all to see.....

It's ok though, you might win it next year.

Gomez had enough chances to make his mark on the game. He didn't take them.

Finals are not meant to be played, they're meant to be won. Gomez didn't score any goals when he could have. Even if he did OK since Bayern didn't win his performance was poor.
